sprintgeezer,
I agree with you, I see this headed down the path of the Maggie vessey doping violation - "it was all a big misunderstanding, she won't do it again." Maybe a warning, maybe a minor suspension.
wadn't it funny though how bolt pulled out of the meet
he gave the game away there like
Come on people. Alison Felix has the dirtiest coach in the history of running. Her coach has two dead female athletes so far and still counting.

Did anyone say criminal? Count to ten before posting a response so your brain catches up with your fingers.

Bolt pulls out of many events, such as those in London. I believe his motivation is usually financial. Imagine yourself in his position.

Well, there's some good stuff in this thread, and some total b.s.
VCB is nothing to global t&f.
This is a sad day. It is likely that, as someone upthread said, she will receive a slap on the wrist--they won't want to piss her off too much.
So which is it? Is VCB a "nobody" or someone "they don't want to piss off too much"?
You're right about one thing, there is some total bs on this thread.
What's the matter with you?
Have you no reading comprehension, or are you just a DlCK?
She's a nobody relative to Bolt in the global publicity scheme of t&f (t&f does not depend on her, but it does depend on Bolt), but she might become a pain in the butt if not treated with respect.
It's not that hard.

Are you Americans blind? Why is Allyson automatically innocent? Because she is American?
Look at her coach? He should be in jail.

same storyline though
Look y'all, if you conspiracy theorists want to preach your postulations as truth, that's fine (it's libel and harmful to the sport, but I won't stop you). But it's when you insult/belittle those who disagree with you that you are asking for a fight. You want to call your extrapolations evidence? Fine. But quit acting so high and mighty when someone suggests there is evidence to the contrary. Have discussion. Or just keep stating the "obvious" (some folks on this board love misusing that word) and labeling those of us who wish to see EVIDENCE as the ones with their heads in the sand.
'The only relevant statement here is that we can't assume it was a career length thing.'
Nobody is going to win Olympic Gold then start doping

you aint been payin attention
they aint catchin anyone from track on retests

2005 helsinki retests

"Nobody is going to win Olympic Gold then start doping"
a familiar story with these superstars
they dope from start to finish
from the first gold medal to the last
thats how they become goats
most of em get away with it
Let me get this straight--
I will take all of those in turn.
First, regarding "conspiracy"--all a conspiracy is, ignoring all the popular negative connotations, is a secret agreement, usually to do something objectionable. In some contexts, concrete planning is required, and preparatory steps taken.
Do you even understand what evidence is? I almost always state what is fact and what is argument, supposition, and suggestion, except when I think it is clearly hyperbolic. Sometimes it might not be so clear, like when I say "clearly she doped". Obviously that is not evidence, or argument--it is pure conjecture.
I always consider evidence to the contrary. ALWAYS. I discuss this stuff ad nauseum, in case you haven't noticed.
You want a fight? Sure, I'll go, if there is actually a fight to be had. About precisely what do you want to fight?
I'm not sure where you're going with this. I don't recall ever having posted specifically on VCB. What we know is that 2 samples tested positive for a banned substance.
There is no reasonable excuse for this. The closest thing would be unknowing sabotage, which is also IMO unreasonable. She is articulate, she has means, she lives in a civilized situation. There can be, and will be, an explanation offered, but there is none that should avoid a ruling that an offense against the rules has been committed.
Again, I don't know if you want to fight about anything in particular.

How much do you want to bet that there were no busts related to retesting from Athens and Helsinki?

Do you know why the TUE program has been a meme here lately? Because Rojo cooked it up. Rojo trolled the board, and trolls the board. He's admitted it. No one was spamming the board with it 2 years ago, and yet it was there.
What the hell are you talking about? I assume with TUE you mean thyroid medication but Rojo definitely has never admitted to "cooking this up."
As for not calling VCB a cheat yet there are few things going on I assume: 1) There had been no confirmation 2) It's her "A" sample 3) It's a diuretic and not a steroid/HGH. 4) She doesn't have a past history for this.
As for ad revenue from Puma and protecting VCB that is total BS. We haven't had an advertising deal with Puma in a year and a half on this site.
