Interesting suggestion, I think you are wrong for two reasons:
1) It is possible (even if unlikely) that we could have arrived at our current state of technological advancement without recourse to the Scientific Method;
2) Surely the Scientific Method is reliant on the existence of language, and therefore (if we are considering the Scientific Method as a candidate for the Ur-invention) language must be the more significant invention, because without it the Scientific Method cannot exist?
agree with this guy. what does the scientific method have to do with anything?
