I'm loving this thread. Why can't we all enjoy it for what it's worth?
I know a pretty good marathoner (good enough to win the US Olympic Marathon Trials) who was on a 90 mile/90 beer program for weeks at a time. The miles were of a much higher quality than those beign run in this current event, and so were the beers. I always aspired to get that fit but could only manage the high miles or the high beers (not both) because of a demanding full-time job. A regular dose of 70 miles/40 beers was more realistic.
I wish I could see the Twitter postings but I'm currently working in the land of censorship (no Twitter, no Facebook, no YouTube, etc.).

No you don't.

You've (presumably) never even come to these boards. In an earlier post, you 'suspected' something about the people on the boards, implying that you weren't 100% familiar with these people (us).
And now you know what is CLASSIC LETSRUN?
I'm on to you, Fat Lie... I mean Fat Guy.
ive been here a few times, and good job reading into every little thing ive said. i know enough to know some of you are frickin insane. to be honest i only said "classic letsrun" cuz Fast Guy said it when i read the post aloud to him post his run. guess i shoulda clarified
I want more Fat Guy updates. Fat people in pain are funny.

Yes yes we all love making fun of the Fat. Someone asked what they're doing next: THEY'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! Fast Guy might need the assistance of a funnel to help with those final beers. Luckily I have one! Funneling isn't against the rules is it? Also epic plans for final beer/mile.
This just keeps getting better and better.
update: passed fast guy on the way to class. not looking so good. clearly hasn't showered in a while. claims he hates everything. Everything. directing of irrational and unnecessary hatred toward ginger proving to have little effect.
Fat Guy got too drunk to do his homework yesterday. now im in a dark basement on campus about to try it. the stairs down here were a big challenge, the 4 flights up to my class will be comparable to everest
I would like to see fat guy shotgun his last drink and fast guy to do his last mile sub 5.

Im not okay with that
I would like a little more background on "Fat guy". I believe he ran in HS. What event? XC? When was he last running on a regular basis? What was his max MPW when he was running.
I just don't see going from zero to 100 miles without tragic (and wildly amusing)consequences.
I think he is sandbagging re his running abilities.

Fat Guy ran XC and track in high school. He was probably above average when considering all high school athletes. 4:55 mile PR approx. Ran 40-60 mpw in high school. Since high school: ran 3 miles about a year ago. Steady diet of college food, unhealthy sleep habits, unhealthy drinking habits, and frequent illness due lack of even a morsel of a healthy lifestyle. In short, Fat Guy is not sandbagging. But yes, it is wildly amusing.
I love how Fat guy starts his posts with a third-person update about himself. He then switches to first-person for the balance of his updates. Not sure why I find this to be awesome, but I do.
No excuses, gentlemen. Play like champions today.
You might think that ten years from now you'll look back on this as a silly way to spend a few days, but I can tell you from the perspective of a 35 year old man that what you re doing could very well be one of the greatest achievements of your whole life. You might think that life really starts when you leave the comforting womb of the university, but I assure you nothing could be further from the truth. Your grand plans for a life of accomplishment and fulfillment will be quickly shattered when you leave the nest and try to fly for yourselves.
What I'm saying is that this is YOUR TIME TO SHINE. This is IT.
When you are a pathetic 35 year old man who wastes his employer's time and money by surfing letsrun and more NSFW sites all day, you'll look back and feel like your best days are behind you.
Don't let this chance for greatness and letsrun immortality slip by without your best effort. The vicarious lives of pathetic working class slobs around the world are riding on this.
In the words of New Balance...make excellent happen.
To fat and fast guy. I think you guys should finish your last 5k and last six beers at an undisclosed location. Run an 800, chug a beer...Repeat until the 5k and 6 beers are done. May be the most epic way to end the feat of 100 beers and 100 miles. Also the puke videos will be hilarious.

Not a bad idea but we're planning something a little more epic. Actually it may happen tonight if fast guy can down the beers fast enough

No you don't.
