im gonna call that in a such a big meet...one of the badgers crumbles and doesnt finish in the pack. giving stanford a slight slight victory. 3rd place will be BYU.
i got off work tomorrow. I'm there baby!!! Should be freakin epic. I wish it wasn't going to be so windy, could affect the race.

I don't get why people are picking Stanford. Doesn't seem like they have much after their 1-2 of CD and JR.
individually, theres only two guys that can win this race... lalang and estrada.. and based on experience and race tactics, no doubt the win will go to estrada
The latest forecast has raised the expected wind speeds to 22mph, gusting to 32 (was 18, G28); again, those are for 10m up, not ground level, but in the open parts of the course (most of it), the wind could be a factor, keeping the front pack together and providing an incentive to not be on the front but sheltered some behind a couple of runners. This might change that individual battle so that Estrada and Lalang don't go out alone, at least for quite a while.

You folks really think Estrada can dust folks like Derrick and Puskedra? Seriously?!?
Interesting to see a lot of the big names of the high school graduating class of 2008 all competing at a high level, just from observing the individual predictions for this meet. Derrick, Estrada, Puskedra, and Hill have all progressed very well, and I anticipate a good showing from them on Friday. FSU isn't here so we won't get to see how Fout stacks up, but he has come a long way back since his earlier struggles. German's up and down career is well-documented, to say the least, but he does have an NCAA title.
Will there be a live feed of the races at Wisconsin?

Not in cross country.
How many people for each team run this race is it 7 or 8 i see Oregon bringing 8 women and 8 men but i thought each team was only allowed 7 runners ????????? thank you
What's your point? So his 1500m NCAA title is nothing then? He's not a great runner just because he doesn't have a XC title? Title is still a title, doesn't always have to be in XC.
Ummmmmmm, ever heard of Jordan Hasay?

Chad Noelle is better than me.
Sheila Reid will win by over 40 seconds over the 2nd place ho!!!!
Where can we find the list of participants? Not only the teams, but the individuals that will be participating.
I am pretty sure that teams are limited to seven runners in the "A" race, but there is a second race 80 minutes later (1pm women, 1:40 men, 2:20 women B, 3:00 men B).

Hey 26mi235,
I know this is off topic, but is the Zimmer course open to the public? I may be in Madison this summer and would like to run on it.
I know this is late in he thread (two pages after the question), but 99% chance that yes it's open to the public. Almost every single collegiate cross country course is out of the way of the university, and if it isn't a golf course it doesn't have fences. I am sure that in the summmer, as long as you arent stepping in on a workout (even then, just get out of the way) you will be fine.
Only problem is, Madison's cross country course is a ways away from the city. A 20-30 minute drive if i recall correctly
