FYI I have a BA (economics), MA (liberal studies with a geology concentration), MPH (epidemiology), Ph. D (Biostatistics). I am hardly an authority in engineering but I am well trained in critical thinking. You may have an engineering but the fact that you have to continuing resort to juevenile name calling and personal insults suggests that you are probably completely secure with herself or knowledge on this subject matter. Thankfully, not all scientists are in agreement with mainstream theories. Rather than swap more name calling, I will refer you to the finally links that hopefully enlighten you a bit:
Since these people are more likely to have authoritative knowledge on this subject than myself I will let you be the judge but based on your previous posts, I doubt whether you are open-minded enough to read and study this material. In your defense, it would probably take you a long time to unlearn what you and most others have been indoctrinated to believe in.
There's no arguing with people like you. What would you think of an engineer with no biostatistics training whatsoever telling you that you were wrong and that all the conventional wisdom regarding your area of study was wrong? Because that's what you're doing, you're so far out of your lane its not even funny. I've seen the arguments made for the conspiracy crap and you know what? ALL of the engineering related claims they make are false and the VAST majority of engineers agree on this (yeah, a fraction of a fraction of a percent don't, but then again, there are biologists who don't believe in evolution, does that mean they are right?).
And riddle me this, a conspiracy the size of 9/11 would require thousands of people. I find it VERY hard, scratch that, impossible to believe that out of those thousands of people, nobody would have spoke up yet. I mean, seriously. To rig a building for demo? That takes weeks of prep (at the very minimum) and its not something that's easy to hide. It involves cutting through walls (to get to the structural columns) and tearing out lots of stuff to get to the important bits. Its not something that could be done and kept secret from the thousands of employees who are in and out of the building daily. Not to mention that there is no evidence to support that it was a demolition, but hey, I'm not the one making the wild accusations.
I'm not going to waste any more of my time responding to your baseless accusations because guess what, I could refute every single one of the points made and you still wouldn't believe me. Being a conspiracy theorist means you have to be willing to set aside mountains of empirical evidence and completely ignore it (all the while focusing on a small "discrepancy" that is more often than not either a figment of one's imagination, or something that is easily explainable).
You accuse me of being close-minded? You're the one who is ignoring hundreds of years of research in areas like structural mechanics and building design when you make such accusations. Think of it this way, I'm going to put it in terms you might understand as a bio-statistician. You are advocating young earth creationism. That is literally the honest-to-God truth, you are doing exactly what the brainless advocates of that sort of non-sense do when it comes to your reasoning and your ignorance of empirical evidence.
The issue is not just a physics and stuctural engineering problem but the events need to also be evaluated in their historical and geopolitical contexts. Learning this material requires a lot of work and not all claims and necessarily true but it is a lot easier to label someone a wingnut or conspiracy theorist than to do the work and be objective.
We should place every Muslim in America in Concentration Camps and then deport them to the Middle East to pursue happiness with their own kind.
We extended our interpretation of the U.S. Constitution to place Japanese-Americans into Concentration Camps, implement water boarding and torture, to render Muslims to foreign countries, and to ethnically cleansing Palestine of Muslims.
Thus, we can extend the U.S. Constitution to ethnically cleansing the United States of Muslims.
Right-winger here, and you are wrong. I think Obama is due some thanks for OBL's death. However, I think it is deplorable how people are trying to use this as a R vs. D issue.
I also am very tired of defending my side from the unending onslaught from the left on this issue. It is not a political issue between the parties. Heck, most prominent conservatives have thanked Obama and given him the credit he is due. Of course, that is never enough for some people.
No, actually it IS political. Politics is all about priorities. Obama made it a priority to get bin Laden. Bush made Iraq his priority - he fought the Taliban indirectly by providing air cover for the Northern Alliance and he trusted Pervez Musharraf to handle the Pakistani side of the border. And he sent the message loud and clear that he wasn't concerned about bin Laden which meant many allies lowered their priorities too.
Of course Obama didn't start from square one but he's the one who focused the right people and resources on the job. If he had merely continued the Bush policies (as the Palin-Limbaugh-Beck-Racehorse line goes) Osama would still be kickin' it with his wives and kids in Abbottabad.
How in the heck do you get that from my post?
Oh, yeah. It is moronic leftist wacko thinking. I forgot.
In the name “Osama bin Laden”, switching the b and the s turns into “Obama sin Laden” which is a name that should not exist. Obama doesn’t sin. He’s not sin-laden.
Why did the US bury Osama bin Laden at sea? The answer might surprise you.In May of 2011, after nearly a decade of hiding, the al Qaeda leader was killed by ...

How’s that going for you kid?
Feeling embarrassed eh
Speak up kid
Can’t hear
