Kenyans age should not be taken seriously. I knew very
well late Pekka Rinne, who was a finnish sport journalist and part time manager(managed Henry Rono during 81/82).
He used to live in Kenya in winter time and knew many athletes very well. He once asked Moses Kiptanui how old
he was. Statistic books said he was 25, but Kiptanui
answered:" I think I am about 30".
...
(The sport wasn't professional then. There was no real living to be made. There was no "them." There weren't droves of hopeful athletes gathering in Eldoret or Bekoji with dreams of buying a house from their winnings.)
Moron, are you saying that Frank Shorter would not have run faster on epo, or the more potent cerra? He would not have done it--- but 2:04 is my prediction.

Sorry man we do not have calenders in Kenya. Lol, Haters. "WARNING" Time after time you are going to see things that seem unreal or abnormal, You will see a new guy come in and run ridiculous times, you will see a well known runner loose to a new comer and you will say "WOW" don't panic, It happens alot in Kenya. Only in Kenya, will you see Paul kipkoech a well known athlete over 10000m,(God rest his soul)a world champion Rome, Italy 1987 loose to a new comer Paul Bitok, who run barefoot, no running tools whatsoever, with just school khaki shorts over 10000 meters at kipkeino sports ground in 1992 and went on to win a silver medal in atlanta in 1996. It happens often in Kenya. We are not shocked when isaih Koech runs 12.53 and he is only 17. There are a lot of other young Kenyans who given the chance will beat him tomorrow. The reason why you don't see Kenyans going crazy after running wonderful time is bc they understand that there is no need to celebrate bc there is another Kenyan who will beat me tomorrow. Dear friends and fans of the sport, brace yourselfs once in a while just bc things like this are going to happen often. ONLY IN KENYA.
You forgot to mention an unknown high school sophomore(form 2)running with no shoes beating John Ngugi in 1988. The unkown school boy would later win world cross country champs two years in a row. His name William Sigei who happens to come from the same region as Isaiah Koech as well as David Bett, Clement Langat and Japhet Korir four of the most promising athletes in the current crop of juniors. There are many more who are yet to step outside the borders of Kenya and they are even better talent that those already out there. For some of these, they have no sponsors yet and owing to the poverty in the rural Kenya, they cannot afford to catch a bus to the venue of competition.

Yeah, that's no way he's only 17. Have you seen pics of him? No doubt he's an amazing athlete but I don't think he will break Bekele's world record.
Your uncanny ability be able to tell the age of teenage boys is very disturbing my friend...just please do your peeping while they are clothed...

It's even funnier when you realize that all the brainwashed types after seeing the video and looking at pics of this "kid" still believe he's 17. It's hilarious. The believers are hopeless, but hilarious.
Your uncanny ability be able to tell the age of teenage boys is very disturbing and not at all funny my friend...just please do your peeping while they are clothed...
