It's natural for a runner to run closer to the other runner who's closing in on him, just like horseracing dude, ZERO luck ;-)
This is the greatest 1500 of my lifetime (67)! Congratulations to all. This is a template for the USA women to follow - Hiltz has the wheels the last 50 to medal. Awesome race!
Anyone who predicted that finish... is lying.
Holy crap.
Hocker Tuah!! Spit on that gold medal thang!!!
Absolutely! You know, they are inspired and will try their hardest!!
Just made some good money off of Mr Hocker. Thank you!
I only predicted that a photo finish would be in order for 2 medalists!! Boom
It's a ManBun.
Script flipper.
I'd nominate that for the greatest competition 1500 (fast, high stakes, multiple quality runners in contention) in HISTORY.
Yeah, that race gave me a stroke too.
Jacob's problem is he can't win a kicker's race and the kickers are now running under 3:30
I was here
That race was magical

mattfoxisdone - to be fair, Centro spoke very highly of Hocker's chances, on the Letsrun podcast. He even suggested he had a shot to take it all.
Put $2 on Hocker and won $60. Should've put the house on him!
TTG!!

Anyone remember when matt centro trashed cole hocker on instagram saying that he was an olympic champ and that hocker/teare were just college kids. Look at hocker now, he is better than centrowitz all time.
Okay let's get the story straight here though, Centro was absolutely not trashing Cole Hocker back then, he literally was praising him. He was trashing the 4:10 walk on calling him out.
Why are we trying to diminish Centro to raise Cole up? He definitely doesn't need it, they're both legends and Cole has many more years even to become even greater.
