But it is Luxembourg, only 600k people live there so it's not a shock she's well clear of anyone else. They're not exactly known for producing stacks of athletes.
And looked liked she had her kit on. Injured in the warm up maybe. Or injured and tried warming up and couldn’t go?
Apparently the organizers randonmly changed the entry rules without telling the athletes so athletes living outside of the village had to use a different entrance then they had been previously. Sha'carri and SAFP were both seen stuck outaide the warmup area.
Sha'Carri eventually got in, but Perhaps SAFP got screwed!? I really hope not
In the year 2024 how is this not solved in 5 minutes. Sha’Carri calls up Mitchell/USATF and it’s fixed.
People are sleeping on Julian Alfred. It’s Sha’Carri’s to lose, but if she starts like that again in the final then Alfred is going to win gold. Alfred looked like she has a 10.7 in her at the very least
Nobody's sleeping on her. She's #2 in the world.
Literally no one outside of hardcore fans even know who she is

Yeah, rumor right now is that neither was able to warm up. I guess SAFP pulled and Sha'carri didn't. Would make sense why she was so nervous.
Did I hear that right? Van der Weken of Luxembourg is a 17-time national champ? She’s only 24, meaning she’s won the 100 and 200 every year since she was 16?
I mean...when your whole country is the size of a suburban county in the U.S., it's not hard to imagine that a decent runner could completely own the country's track events.

Maybe also includes a few indoors. But also Luxembourg isn’t that big of a country. It’s like being the champion of Vermont.
Is it my imagination or was there supposed to be a rule this year that if someone dns the next person was to take their lane
I can’t recall, but the Olympics has inferior rules to Worlds. Worlds will run 9 in the finals. For some reason we’re wasting a lane here. And then the Repechage as well.
