Khamis - you are the epitome of all things bad on these boards. Your paranoid thoughts are pathetic and have no basis in fact. You'd make a good left wing media person. Just say what you want...truth be damned.

He sounds more like a right wing nut job, but go on with your bad self.
I just hate the way Fisher runs. He's super tight on the rail. He creeps up and overlaps runners that are in a normal position relative to the rail, which causes a tripping risk. It's boring and there are no moves or strategy except "tuck in as tight as possible on the rail until 120 to go." But hey, he got the bronze 🤷♂️ - would have preferred an Ethiopian sweep (better runners and more interesting tactics).
Clearly Fisher was boxed in with two laps to go and was only able to break out of the box quite late. As soon as he did, he started moving faster and soon was passing people.
If anything, I think Fisher overcame a bad position late in the race and might have done better than bronze with some luck or better positioning. All he needed was three-hundredths of a second to get silver and three-tenths of a second to get gold.
Of course, as one of the announcers said, Aregawi did in fact come on like a freight train at the end, and no one could have outkicked Aregawi on an open track. All props to Aregawi for his miraculous run for silver.

I was not sure if Fisher was 2nd or 3rd, because originally the results flashed on the screen had him 3rd, but the next second the results had him 2nd. The replay of the finish showed him 3rd, but it was too close to say for sure, especially given the mix up at the end of race results.
I was riveted the whole race. No commercials was nice. Stacked field. Deep. 13:23 half way and a large pack was tight. I’m watching the Ethiopians make all these moves to trade pacing duties. Fisher stayed on the rail in 3rd or 4th the whole way. Didn’t waste any energy. Cheptegie was back, stalking.
8 laps to go. 7 laps to go. 5. 4. 3. A dozen runners packed together, all under 27 flat pace.
I had no idea who was going to medal, but I knew at least 6 good runners who were running great were not going to medal.
Then the past dropped and they were running up on each other. At sub 27 pace!
The last lap was bonkers. 10 guys had a shot at winning. Fisher was right there. Fell a little back and then was perfectly positioned to win coming out of the final turn.
How do you know he didn't deceived you into liking him and his ability by applying PEDs?
I'm an RF Physicist and Scientist so I wanna know how you eliminated all the possibilities to be left with the possibility you believe about Fisher which is that he is the greatest clean American 10k athlete of all time??????
I want to know your method of elimination because I'm a profound intellectual who is able to also have faith in God!!!!!
just STFU and go away... on one likes you here on letsrun.com if you haven't gotten the memo yet lol

To add to that, its obvious you are at a minimum half trolling, but its not even clever or evern remotely entering. Just stop, and do something more productive with your time.

In a race where the top 6 were separated by less than a second, running almost the whole race in the rail likely factored into him being one of the 3 with a medal.

46 years of watching this sport and that race got to me. amazing
Warranted! All of us who know Fisher's backstory can appreciate how special this is. Being so close yet so far in 2021 and 2022 with 4th, 5th, and 6th place finishes; the stumble along the rail when he was in third place going into final stretch of the 5K world championship race in Eugene; the stress fracture last year; making the bold move to leave BTC, move to Utah, and train mostly on his own heading into an Olympic year. All the naysayers. He rose above it all and finally realized his potential today as an Olympic medalist. And he's such a good guy! I'm so happy for him.
