Yes, there have been several people on this board that have predicting that Mu will break the 800 world record. Just like some people have predicted that Sydney will break Koch's 400 record. There are plenty of overly optimistic people here.
Just a bump. But can someone answer the question- How can she be entered in the trials if she has not run a race in 9 months? Isn't there a rule that says you have to be worthy?
There is no rule that says someone has to be "worthy".
You either need to have run a certain time in the past year, which she has.
Or you need to meet some other criteria like being an Olympic medalist or a world medalist in the last 4 years, and she has done both of those things.
Mu has qualified for the Olympic Trials in several different ways.

It's too bad they can't retroactively disqualify all the records set during the golden era of steroid use. Koch's record is a sad testament to that era.

They'll get rid of the world records from the 1980s eventually. But all of the athletes, coaches, and officials from that era need to be dead before that happens, in order to prevent complaints and lawsuits. So it probably won't happen for another 20 or 30 years.
I said you have nothing worth saying and you replied "actually I do and I have", which means you agree with me, you do have nothing worth saying.
I understand that you are not very good with the English language. I do have things worth saying. I have said them. Glad to clarify that for you, simpleton. Sheesh, you are stupid beyond belief.
You've just demonstrated again that I am correct. You have nothing worth saying.
She'll have to retire and unretire then, to come do LA2028 because modeling won't be her thing either. She only gets gigs now because she's a track star, there's no real career in modeling for her. She has terrible style, no presence online or other obvious niche skill, and doesn't seem bothered with getting college credits to finish her degree either so, I hope (for her sake) she's good at something else that pays well so she can free herself.
I recall a thread a while back confidently predicting she was going to take Kratochvilova's world mark. It isn't aging well.
Nobody has predicted this.
They definitely have. Many times. Here's a thread I found in a matter of seconds but over the years there's been many other instances of people predicting she'll break the 800m world record.
Yes Jarmilla the 800m WR waste rod class at 200m to 800m and on steroids; however Athing My as an 18 yr old is world class at 400m and 800m and one of the collegiate best at 1500m. Her 400m collegiate record came the first y...
