For the past month, I have been training in a pair of puma faas 250's I got off of ebay. The shoe has some issues - it has a kind of high drop, right at the edge of what would feel alright on my feet - I think 6 mm. The tongue is ridiculous - cinching it down causes lace bite, even when using lydiard lacing. I've dealt with poor uppers in the past, so I can kind of work around it by feeling like the shoe is tied too loose - its like shoe companies or at least puma here thought feet expand super wide when they meet the shin.
The ground feel of the shoe is great though. I haven't tried them in a race because I got an injury (possibly from running in the rockets where one upper was separating from the sole - I've completely discontinued use of them even though the soles prob would have months left otherwise.
I also have a pair of streak xc 2's I got off ebay but I don't have too high of hopes that the sole's glue won't start failing within a week of when I start running in them as often happens with the old streak xc2s - lt 2s (though not the og streak xc for me).
The upside of this back to back good low stack shoes is that my foot pain (just in one foot, I guess its bruised or something - it also makes it so I have to race track races in flats, not spikes) I just lived with from running in the streak lt 3 and 4 is gone. Running feels like its supposed to again.
I'll probably have to go back to the lt 4 by summer though I can't imagine finding any more of my shoes on ebay/poshmark/depop/mercari or any minimal flat coming out.
Anyone else still running in low stack flats?
