Dave Smith really wanted revenge after losing at home on a tie breaker. he flew to Kenya and got a couple of ringers. Kipngetich and Musau are total game changers. their first NCAA race and barely broke a sweat.
I might have to put Oklahoma St. slightly ahead of NAU in the rankings.
I think it's still a little too early to completely trust this one result.
Not too early... Kipnegetich is 22 or 23 and has pro experience. He placed 3rd in the Kenya National Cross country championships this year, senior division, 3rd in the Sirikwa classic a WA gold label event. He is a title contender for sure.
Top Results: 10km Senior Men. Charles Lokir 29:16 Isaac Kibet 29:16 Dennis Kipngetich 29:23
Dave Smith is a clown for this. It’s one thing to have internationals, but these guys can’t even speak English. Mockery of the NCAA all so Dave Smith can lose again
If David smith wanted to be a good coach he would actually develop talent rather than picking up a random Kenyan that could walk to a ncaa title without a lick of coaching. Pretty lame move, and in my opinion, disrespectful to ncaa running.

Stay mad, he’s one of the highest paid XC coaches in the entire NCAA, saves a ton of it by living in Oklahoma, and gets to work with athletes you’ll never work with- you’ll at the most work with a high school athlete good enough to earn a scholarship at one of the schools you envy. Stay mad losers! You’ll never be as good as him! And will never have that monetary success from track/xc coaching as he has or Jerry (for the Jerry haters). Talkers are always gonna end up talking as they stand on the sidelines and watch their teams on tv!

Getting rid of the SAT eligibility requirement was a big mistake. This is the result of that.
I have alway been a fan of Dave Smith but this is disappointing. Filling the team with Kenyan professionals just doesn’t sit well for a coach with his reputation. He’s always been a blue collar, hard working coach. This seems like a short cut. How many Africans does he have now in his top 5? I feel like this is opening a pandora box. More and more coaches will be heading in this same direction. The future will be teams full of professional African 24 year old freshmen. It’s disappointing to see a great coach like Dave Smith go this route. Feels like he gave up on developing American kids and chose instant titles.
DENIS is only 20 years old and Brian is like 18 years old, Brian represented Kenya in the Africa U18 championship! Using different Dennis and not Denis to smear their names makes you come up as a hater, running with the elite athletes during the championship doesn't make professional athletes! Oh, they can't speak English but get their visas approved???? I bet you can't say anything about non-English-speaking European countries in the NCAA!

His last name is Kipngetich according to tffrs and OK State bio, and the profile you linked to is Dennis Kingetich which is different. Maybe lighten up on calling people haters for trying to figure out who he is?
So are you saying he did not run the championships?

I predict it will snow. They will move the race to the road. Harvard will buy a bunch of Vaporflys and win the race.
The Harvard weight training in the middle of their tempo runs will come into play. How can you beat runners who run 3 miles, squat 500 lbs and then run 3 more miles?
There is nobody in Kenya with the name Kingetich. Obviously, a "p" was left out of the data entry. The name is Kipngetich. There are three Denis or Dennis Kipngetich currently active. One born in 99 one in 01 and one in 03. The one born in 01 is the professional runner and is not in the NCAA.
Also looking over last year's results, four of OSU's top 7 including the top two, were from Oklahoma or Texas.
Thank you🙏🏾"p” was obviously accidentally left out .From what i was told, Denis is 3 times Kenya High School cross country champion. I mentioned hater only coz someone went ahead and talked about English….I thought you were supposed to get clear from the NCAA to be eligible to compete. I looked at his Facebook page(Denis Kipngetich) Date of birth(2003) is similar to the link I had posted.

I would take all that with a grain of salt. Not a lot of data points there. You only need to see that Drew Bosley is #12 to realize that. He’s better than #12.

I would treat it like a heat sheet. It means he’s posted the best results so far this season - but obviously a lot of people haven’t really raced yet.
