Guess what ? Leo just won putting 7 seconds on Marco Langon on the last K (2:45 vs 2:52).
The Youngs are truly incredible and you were all really forgetting all they have done just after ONE bad race at NXN.
How could you possibly think Leo is worth 11th at NXN or something ? And if you think Colin Sahlman’s bad cross country season tells anything about Leo’s or Lex’s potentials (or even Colin’s for the matter) that’s a mistake.
There’s no reason he shouldn’t have been the favorite, Lex ran 13:43 last year and Leo is arguably way better than Lex was last year. And Lex should have been the second favorite if he didn’t get injured before this race.
I think they’re rewriting the record booked this year. They can run sub 4, 7:50 under 8:29 and under 13:37.
Hard to believe, or maybe not, that the Young brothers would get the lead hype in the U20 race, when they were nowhere at NXN relatively, and Marco Langon was 4th in the NCAA Mid Atlantic Region an a just turned 18 year old , I think in September? A true Freshman, at Villanova, and 30 places ahead of Colin Sahlman at the NCAA National Meet. To be fair, I guess, he is mentioned in the last sentence. And the Youngs and NP sell, I guess is the takeaway here. Many know I am a NJ and 'Nova homer..LOL. so, half kidding.

First of all, I said I was a "homer" , secondly, you are right, I was going off a last effort racing form. I thought Langon moved lust a few hundred yards too soon, even when I saw it live and I did watch the entire race.It was a great "man up" effort by Young for sure. More than justifying the continued hype on here...LOL. That's a joke.
Take it easy, I admit when I am off by a little, not much, Langon ran really well here as well. Young ran a really powerful last incline to put it away, a very very good race overall, and certainly for him.
Langdon is actually younger than the Young twins and almost a year younger than Colin.
Given that the Young twins are approx 17 months younger than Colin, then Langon would need to be older than the twins (if he is almost one year younger than Colin)
