At least we all now have a greater awareness of alopecia and might be more willing to seek remedies for the condition.
My brother pulled a Jada. When his hair first started thinning she shaved his hair as short as she did, and that became his hair cut. When my hair started thinning I did cut it shorter but the extreme shortness Jada and he have. My wife for the last 20 years always has a small clump of hair that falls out after a shower (evidently like Jada's experience). My wife's hair is long and she has not patchy balding areas ... Jada doesn't have patchy balding areas either.
So, Jada's hair could be longer than how she is cutting it. She has chosen to do a super short cut. That is her decision, same as my brother ... an over-reaction to something that takes years to become more obvious ... baldness doesn't happen overnight for the vast majority of people.
