Everything Ryan does is Extreme - His Faith , His Running, His Bodybuilding - He is the Quintessential "Extremist". He is the embodiment of a 'Man Alive & Thriving' - More Power to Him!!! Life is meant to be lived; Get off your fat ass and do something with yourself you Lazy Internet Cunts!
The problem is that everything he does has to be extreme. Theres no moderation. Hes gone from overtraining in running to overdoing the weight training and from being skeletal, even for an endurance runner, to being almost comically inflated. Loads of MH talk aking the way, all about himself, on and in.
Somethings clearly wrong. Theres no balance, just a dependancy on having to be "special" and stand out in some way.
I watched a documentary on him and in my opinion he’s a little nuts. He’s wired tight for sure. Everything is super extreme, which is what helped him and hurt him as a pro runner. He is who he is, so of course he’s doing the same with lifting. I personally wouldn’t do what he’s doing.
My point is that all men should lift weights (do resistance training) for many reasons. You lift to be strong. Physical appearance is a side benefit and not even close to the primary objective.
Lastly, I laugh at the noodle arm wimps that reflexively jump to “not wanting to look like Mr. Olympia” at the first mention of lifting a dumbbell. Yeah, be careful, dude!
