Good question. While we're at it, is he still running 100 mile weeks and training for something?
There was a stipulation you had to believe in Christ.
Okay, I have done the Internet reporting for you. Alan Webb is not listed as one of the cross country or track coaches on the Catholic High of Little Rock (a boys school) website. However, I found an article about him coaching there as co-head coach after one race in which a runner ran well. At states last weekend, that same #1 runner was 14th (16:32) in 6A at States, their #2 runner was 29th (17 flat), and then I believe the next three guys were 100th, 103rd, and 105th (in the 19:xx range). The team was 11th overall. Bentonville with the win with 47 pts. The state 6A winner ran 15:50.
I do not know whether Alan Webb lasted with them the whole season.

We could all use more praying and prayers these days, don't you think.
Yes, I actually think. And I think the only benefit of that praying would be that the person doing the praying might feel a little better. Which is not nothing, of course.
But as far as actually affecting others, no.

At the end of the article Webb refers to himself as a "volunteer assistant coach." Perhaps volunteers aren't listed on the website?
I don’t think he was at the state meet.

Six days ago on instagram he posted a photo of himself with the team at the state meet.

"Alan Webb isn't quite sure where coaching is going to take him over the next year. In August, the 38-year-old American record holder in the mile and Olympian left his post as an associate head coach of cross country and track and field at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to pursue his Master's degree at Franciscan University, in a specific area of the Catholic theology. "Undergraduate Costs At the Steubenville Campus*

New Student Fee $170
Total $39,590
*Full-time flat rate $14,860 (12-18 credit hours) per semester. Part time rate $991 per credit hour.
Roughly 95 percent of incoming new students receive some form of financial aid every year."
Graduate Programs Online

MA in Catechetics and Evangelization $525
MA in Catholic Studies $525
MA in Theology and Christian Ministry $525
Master of Business Administration $525

So I figure $525/credit means maybe 1575/course but it's online all while raising 5+kids down in Arkansas? Does he appear on webcam and then he can shout WEBB IS BACK BABY, THIS IS IT BABY MY NEW CAREER to the professor?
