I understand. But the meet director of the Olympic Trials legally can't ignore a US Court order. He has to let Houlihan run. But after the Olympic Trials are over, he is out of the picture and he can let all the lawyers fight it out.
The officials could call unsportsmanlike conduct on her and just DQ her ASAP. Doubt that would happen though as all the officials are probably deep in someone’s pocket.
I don’t think this is a Nike issue...more of a BTC issue and the fact that she’s the best runner in her events.
Clayton murphy is still Nike sponsored but isn’t the best in his event. If he was in the same situation I don’t think USATF would let him run. Houlihan is someone the dream child in this situation.
