He might get mollywopped by an NAU guy, probably more than one, and possibly a few . But Nico Young is the one you pick??? I guess we'll see

Yeah why are people comparing the two in this thread? Brandt and everyone else knows that Hunter is the better runner...that's incredibly obvious.
He's calling out the attitude of the guys in that group, which I don't disagree with.
Also, TME would not exist without Drew. He's the only real talent there.

Rob lost to a 4:23 miler 2 years ago. That's all anyone has to say to devastate him
pretty sure he lost to the 4:23 miler in a half marathon...
oh yeah that 4:23 miler is also a 2:15 marathoner
It was still hilarious to see him get legibly *clapped* and then bow down to the 4:23 miler
Why does that matter? Brandt never said anything about his ability or their ability. He's calling out attitude.

in normal adult society, it's not very cool to fling random insults at people you've never or hardly met. but idk man.

Mate, America is not the best country in the world. Your politics is imploding and you're letting COVID gut your population. Your time has been - it's gone. Your country is the laughing stock of the world at the moment.

Ahaha, at the moment, sure, maybe. But at least we haven't been a perpetual laughing stock like 90% of all other countries. It's so great to see other failures of nations grandstanding on their piles of failed socialistic policies and pointing the finger at that mean ol' bully the USA.

I'm annoyed by most of the tin guys too. I bet if Pre were alive, he would rip sam parsons a new one for the fake transparent allegiance switch he did. All TME guys think theyre all deep and cool because they live in CO and have friends with good cameras who can film a 30 second form check on a dirt road every day and they can post it with a caption consisting of a couple short sentences with line breaks. Literally everyone trains hard and 'keeps the ball rolling'. Most people just dont do it with as many cameras. You're not that special.
If you think you have done a lot of good for the sport by filming yourselves running every day and selling t shirts, you need to take some time to reflect on what "good for the sport' means. sure, its good to have kids excited about it but HS TF/XC kids have literally always just gravitated to whatever running media they could find (chris solinsky beast mode ft. the xx, dave wottle 800m, trevor dunbar snow time trial, alan webb 3:53). I would be impressed if I had ever heard any actually eye opening/important wisdom from the group. How are you getting kids to fall in love with the sport (not the people to do the sport... the sport itself!) so that they can carry it with them for the rest of their lives.
Pre would probably post a ton on instagram, just like every single other pro today ... Pretty much every pro runner is hyper active on social media, it's their job - idk why it bothers so many people when tinman elite runners do it. If anything, they're better at it than most pros.

Pre literally fought against amateurism in the sport. The poster you are responding to is a moran.

Meh. I wouldn't do it but I agree with his points. I don't think he really cares if he's "cool".

Lol, I side with Brandt. He’s a blue collar, gritty runner and he’s just calling out the clout boys on their sh!t.
Lmao! He went to a 22k$/year high school and his hobbies include golfing and surfing, per his UCLA bio ... quite the opposite of blue collar.

pretty sure at nuttycombe this year the only NAU guy he lost to was Luis G and by only one place
Hahaha this is great. Brandt has a better 5k PR than the whole entire tinman sub elite group except Parsons and Drew while still in college. He’s also on the money. Tom is an arrogant jerk and mediocre coach who couldn’t cut it even at the D2 NCAA level. Parsons is fake and it’s transparent. He switched allegiances for completely BS reasons and has never lived, and still doesn’t live in, the country which he is representing. The rest of the team is sub elite.
Also, Drew claims they’ve done stuff for the sport. Like what exactly? Sold t shirts and post on Instagram? Uhhh..
Let me know when any of these guys actually win something.
Let me know if Bobby is ever relevant enough for me to notice and root against.

Why do runners think 'PRs' give you status?
I'll comment as a sophomore D1 runner, team qualified for NCAAs recently.
Tin Man isn't a great running group because they run in Colorado and every hs runner gets a hard-on for Boulder. They're not great because they shoot cool videos and have a neat logo that we can buy on Adidas merch. They're not even great because they're good runners.
They're incredible because they're the dream. Training my heart out, living with my best friends, and getting to be a normal, down to earth human is like a heaven to most runners. I've heard talks from Nike and Brooks Athletes with greater accomplishments than these guys; their lives seemed mechanical. Their talks made it seem like running dictated their lives, and not the other way around. Tin Man at least passes the image that the guys run because they love it, and that comes first. It's not that common of a message in running.
And they're doing it on their own. Centro and Chelimo(just pulling first names that comes to mind) and all those guys totally work just as hard, but the foundation was laid out for them. Tin Man set up their own platform.
I'm sure people will disagree, but I think a lot of the criticism comes from people's proclivity to criticize anything that seems trendy in running. I agree they could come off less like tools, but I respect what they're doing.
