If it was so RATIONAL he wouldn't have been so WRONG. It was clearly IRRATIONAL based on the results. Just like surrounding himself with yes-men made his little bits all tingly, but wasn't actually RATIONAL if he wanted a realistic perspective on the state of the Russian military's combat readiness.
Interesting you bring up China, since they are currently investing billions (if not trillions) of dollars around the globe. Are you saying this is a foolish strategy? Or that there's wisdom in investing in foreign countries like the US has done (through both infrastructure and aid)?
Expected people to behave as they always have is irrational now?
ALL politicians surround themselves with yes-men.
China is INVESTING. They buy things. The US doesn't invest it mails out checks. HUGE difference.

The ideas and arguments in the bolded sentences are incredibly dumb and ignorant of what goes on in the world. Not even worth trying to explain.
Ukraine being invaded is EXACTLY what Euro/Russian experts have been saying would happen for 15+ years now if the perpetual and nonsensical US-NATO expansion didn’t stop.
Like most wars in our lifetime, the US helped provoke this reaction, and then - as always - dishonestly “manufactures consent” to the ignorant masses. And as always, you dolts eat it up. (I’ve been guilty of it in that past, too.)
But it is great fun watching Liberal voters fully supporting the military industrial complex’s agenda nowadays. LOL
^^^^^
America-haters out in force today.
So you know nothing about the argument and certainly can't refute it so you just insult.
We sold $268 billion worth of stuff there in 2019. And politically, we can (again) count on the support of most of our European allies in international affairs. The unified response to Putin's invasion doesn't just happen magically.
They're acting in their own self interest. If Ukraine was on Russia's eastern border they wouldn't give a damn about Ukraine and you wouldn't have been told to either.
It's also in their self-interest to support the country that has historically supported them, and has over the years provided them with aid and assistance when needed.
anyone that thinks America’s commitment to soft power, global growth and attracting skilled immigrants has hurt this country is simply blind or a true moron.

Ukraine has never supported or assisted anyone in NATO. What are you talking about?

You asked what we (meaning the United States) gets out of all the aid we have given to European countries.
I pointed out two things: a market where we sold $268 billion worth of goods in 2019, and political support in international affairs. The international unity that we've seen in response to Putin's invasion is at least in part the fruit of our leadership in international affairs over the past 75 years, including the aid that we've provided to European nations since the end of WW2.
Ukraine is currently a vassal state of the Israel/US empire
No it isn't. You make these connections because you want to blame the jews.
Ukraine is a free country and will remain free thanks in part to its great leader
that evrybody loves, except those who hate jews.
Of course it is.
R U unaware that the USA helped overthrow the elected govt of Ukraine in 2014? Quite violently. And that they installed a puppet leader? And give them billions of $$?

The US has a trade deficit.
China has a $535 billion trade surplus.
Trade isn't an indicator of good will or political support.
The "international unity" against Putin isn't as international as you think.
Half the world's population isn't in the anti-Russia camp. By liberal logic that means the majority supports Putin.
China, India, Brazil, Mexico, and many others did not agree to sanction Russia.

I'm no economist, but you need healthy economies to buy $268 billion worth of goods in a given year. Those European economies are healthy at least in part because we built them up after WW2. That's part of the return we get from our aid to Europe.
On March 2, 141 UN members voted in favor of a formal reprimand of Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Only 5 UN members voted against the measure: Russia, Belarus, Eritrea, North Korea and Syria. That's also part of the return we get from being a leader in international affairs. A number of countries you cite abstained from voting rather than go on the record in support of Putin by voting against the measure.

Adult: globalization is bad because I have to see brown people sometimes. I would sacrifice 75% of my wealth, income, and QoL to avoid this.
Seriously. Nothing is more laughable than the isolationist worldview. They want to cast the country back 100 years. America has built the global free market and reaped the rewards. We aren’t gonna give that up because some boomers are scared of iPhones.

Do you even know who Victoria Nuland is?
Is being informed = hating Jews?
Zelenskyy wasn't the new president in 2014. He wasn't even playing one on tv until 2015.
You are not informed, you know what all the rest of us do and then you pick the jews Zelenskyy and Nuland and blame them for evrything.

America's post WWII economy is the strongest in the history of the world. This was only possible due to the stability and free-trade we created with our deliberate actions. You are so deluded with anti-American propaganda, you can't see what is right in front of you.
China is the place we outsource our menial labor and pollution. They produce stuff for us because their people's time is not valuable. When it becomes more valuable, we'll produce our stuff in cheaper places. Trade surpluses and deficits have no inherent value.

141 in favor... 5 against... and 35 abstained.
Abstention is literally not taking a side. China, India, Pakistan, half of Africa, half of South America,...
12 countries didn't even vote.
More than 50% of the world's population didn't support the US's side of the table.

You're projecting.
The "brown" people were more represented in the countries that abstained, voted against, or didn't vote at all.
