The McKinney Boyd boys cross country team ended the 2022 season on a promising note, placing fifth as a team at the Region I-6A meet—the program's highest finish in regional
Nicole Humphries (Flower Mound) is out for the rest of the season. That already takes Flower Mound out of contention to make NXN since Southlake Carroll and Lucas Lovejoy are looking very good.
if steadman is really burnt out nxn looks like a clean win for american fork. however if he comes back from this american fork would of lost this race by 2 points

Maybe I misremember, but I have a recollection that last year Herriman performed much better at NXR than at state, suggesting the coach may have them train through state with a sole focus on NXN.
Daniel Simmon's time is 5 seconds faster this year over last year. I don't think any of the top California runners can beat that. I don't think Todd, Koons, Shively can either. Drew Griffith is a maybe though
Well it’s not like Herriman didn’t try to win state last year. They had an off race. And I think Herriman wanted to redeem themselves at state this year after not doing so well in it last year.
I think they will have a better chance to win it next year. They return 3 scorers, and another guy who is the first one off varsity. I’m sure that under Soles, they can find a fast 5th guy. There’s track season and summer for people to step up too. And AF, Riverton, and Lone Peak is losing a lot of crucial talent.
Riverton is very inconsistent. I am not sure if they are a good team or a bad team
Riverton’s occasional #1 runner Ludwig didn’t score so he had off day. Riverton is only a 5-deep team. So if one of those top 5 guys has an off-day at NXR they won’t finish well there. Niwot is deep through at least 7.
