If he dips under 30, he has done well. His age, horrific weight and zero training, a 28 is probably even off the table .
Obviously Jan won't race though, he has doubled down in an absolutely unrealistic target and won't embarrass himself. The irony being, this thread has exposed him on so many levels that I almost feel sorry for him.
It's actually remarkable that Fat Jan did absolutely nothing (not counting his ridiculous trots). Not even one km of actual running in all these months. Just getting fatter and fatter, while lying more and more. And patting himself on the back for being an elite masters runner.
Jan would have to pay 110€ to register. He needs that to buy drinks for his "girlfriend". Also, that would show commitment. 20x24 second hills for 9 months show that Jan was never committed to this.
Check the entry list: there are couple of 16:XX British guys that have been on fire recently, plus several 17-flat to 17-low. it is a pretty strong field for the 60-64 division. Anyway, there is really no downside to registering, beside shelling a hundred dollars. If I were Jan, I would just do it and try not to be DFL. There is a decent chance that a few people that will blow up and will run 22-25, so this may be a not completely outlandish goal if he can train seriously for a couple of months. He would get some respects from the boards, even if he end up getting last place. At least he gave it a shot.
Best times so far 14:25 5 k and 29:47 10 k , age 22. Have tried the popular Norwegian double threshold method a couple of years but now stagnated. What can I do? What to do to keep on improving?

The fraudster has just posted this, at the same time as my post got a downvote:
Man! It's so fantastic that in almost one year you haven't been able to run 1km at goal pace! Dancan, the fantastic system for everyone who wants to get slower!
