So, we have an old man in hospital with a fractured skull and a guy found at the scene with a hammer (doesn't matter whose it was) who has admitted to investigators that he was there looking for the Speaker of the House, intending to "interrogate" her. Unless you think the authorities are lying (and what could they possibly stand to gain from doing that?), these are the facts. What other facts could possibly be more significant than these? Couldn't he, for instance, have been a gay prostitute AND an unhinged Trump cultist bent on getting some time with Pelosi? If so, why would this matter? And the only way this is a "false flag" operation (which is stupid beyond all imagining) is if it didn't happen at all (and again, see old man in hospital with skull fracture). As such, its still an "operation" in which a person with demonstrable Trump/conspiracy proclivities predating the attack put an old man in the hospital by means of hammer to skull, except with the theoretical possibility that that some diabolical lib Democrat paid him to do it. But then what kind of toxic political stew would produce a person WILLING to club an old man with a hammer in pursuit his political aims, even if paid to do so? Even if this guy is nuts, he's nuts in exactly the same way that those hundreds of "patriots" running around on Jan 6 shouting "where's Nancy? " are. It's a particular kind of nuts, and it's going around.
What matters is that the official story we are being told does not hold up.
And that people like you are smearing the protesters on 1/6 by comparing him to this very troubled man
"Official story"? You mean the statement of formal charges against this guy? Again, what do the authorities have to gain in making sh*t up, at enormous risk that someone might catch them doing it? Now, if they were trying to protect themselves you might have a case. But them I'm betting that in other contexts you trust the cops implicitly, right?
And, yeah, there were "protesters" on Jan 6. But there were also hundreds of people where they legally weren't supposed to be, yelling "where's Nancy?" Some of these people also beat up cops to get inside and do their threatening. None of this was metaphorical; they really did intend to hurt their political targets, just like Mr. Crazy down in SF actually did.
next time the Republicans try out a conspiracy theory, throw this one back in their faces really really hard, along with the other dozen nuts conspiracy theories they use to flood the field with merde instead of admitting the truth.
The guy was pure m'aga. This is the R platform. Own him, 'conservatives.'
NYT:
As he spent more time on his computer in recent months, Mr. DePape appeared to have produced a voluminous record of his political leanings — ranting about the 2020 election being stolen, appearing to deny the gassing of Jews at Auschwitz and claiming that schoolteachers were grooming children to be transgender. Mr. DePape’s blog was registered at the Richmond address where he resided.
Mr. Ciccarelli, who said he was scheduled to work with Mr. DePape on Monday, said he never heard Mr. DePape make racist comments, but said he had become increasingly isolated the last few years and wanted to work less in the carpentry business. “He was completely caught up in the fantasy, in the M'AGA fantasy,” he said.
How convenient for Democrats, 1 week before midterms too! With this kind of luck, I'm predicting a school shooting and a white cop beating a gay, black, non-binary toddler to death with a MA.GA cap in the next week.
Whoah. I didn't realize you were this tin-foil nuts. Your other posts weren't full on wing ding. Meds wore off.
Believing that Dems shoot up school children to get votes is off-the-charts banana paddy whack. Have they been successful with that practice before? How do they pick which kids to shoot? Just seems kind of out there to me, Magoo.

It is interesting-- and disturbing-- how what are now pretty mainstream Republican political positions can begin to look like evidence of mental illness once the context is shifted slightly-- i.e. to one in which someone decided to act on them.
Just like anti-abortion types who claim the procedure is "murder", yet don't act like they actually believe human beings are being killed en masse everyday, the average pro-Trump fantacist can't really believe half the sh*t they claim to, or else there would be thousands of Depapes out there every week!
Are most of today's GOP types only strategically unhinged, al la Ted Cruz?
Interesting. GOP congressmen get shot at by a semiautomatic rifle and six people get hit --> 10 page thread. Spouse of Democrat gets attacked by hammer --> 51 page thread and growing.

remember when 'conservatives' existed and they campaigned on things like tax cuts, strong defense, morals in the public sphere and that kind of thing?
Now the only platform of 'conservatives' is that you must believe the election was stolen, the border is open, Obama was born in Kenya, Trump-Russia was a hoax, BLM was much worse than J6, etc. They don't even talk about policy anymore, outside of moar guns and fewer transgenders and immigrants.
Even More evidence from cameras that this was exactly as it seemed. remember how stupid republicans are. Benghazi!!!!!!! Republicans.
Pizzagate!
So DePape was captured on Capitol Police's security cameras at Pelosi's residence doing exactly what he said he did: breaking a glass panel in a back door in order to enter the home. Can't wait to see how Dinesh D'Souza and Catturd try to spin this.https://t.co/TjU0EMZ3QFpic.twitter.com/sBbEMTg4Sz

Remember when Democrats ran on increasing social services and expanding things like socialized healthcare. Now the only platform of "liberals" is that you must believe the US is fundamentally white supremacist, that there's a society-wide plot by straight white males to oppress all minorities and women, the summer of George Floyd riots wasn't that bad, men can be women and that children who say they're the opposite sex should have their genitals mutilated and hormones blocked without parental consent. The only policies that Dems talk about are ridiculously bloated "stimulus" bills that increase inflation or policies about "green energy" that would completely tank our economy and leave us in an energy shortage.
The only difference between my post and yours is that things I say are actually mainstream Democratic rhetoric, and no Republican I know actually believes things like the election being stolen. Republicans pass policies that don't allow school teachers to talk about sex or recommend pornographic "sex ed" books to 10 year olds and liberals lose their minds - it's very safe to say who the sane ones are in the country at the moment. Have fun at your child drag show.

Dude most Republicans think the election was stolen and a majority of their candidates running this fall campaign on election denying. A majority of the GOP in the house voted to overturn the election. It’s cute that you pretend this isn’t so, but it is.
and clearly you are completely ignorant of the bills signed into law by the Dems these past years. Your post just shouts ‘I am ignorant.’ An hour of googling might learn you some things.
anyway more surowiecki summing up the current Republican Party:
Mentally unstable guy goes down the M’AGA/Q rabbit hole, like so many others. He breaks into the home of one of the chief targets of MAG’A hatred. He smashes a hammer into the skull of her husband. He tells cops what he did. And what do M’AGAniks say? "Sounds fishy."
The best thing about this thread is capturing on record all the people who instantly believed the (obvious) lie that this was some kind of right wing terrorist assault. It was not that. The police scanner audio is the smoking gun that Paul knew David and the visit was consensual.
The sad part is how many people both here, in the broader media, and around the county bought this fake story hook, line, and sinker and ran with it.
The infuriating part about this story is how a national leader can be so poisonous that she would deliberately push a false narrative, knowing full well how it would play out across the country.
The good news is that Internet sleuths (definitely NOT the mainstream media) needed less than a day to pick apart the lie. It'll take a while for the truth to seep out to the masses, but that seepage is ongoing and picking up steam.
As for Paul's predilections, "not that there's anything wrong with that."
This comment sure aged badly. Shocking, but it turns out that Nancy Pelosi and the mainstream media were right, while the whackjob conspiracy theorists and other "Internet sleuths" have been peddling outright lies the whole time.
But we did get a list of all the posters who believed and promoted those idiotic lies. Starting, of course, with Kobbs Hessler. Unsurprisingly, the rest of the obvious trolls (A dolt, aC9, etc.) were right there along with him the whole time.

A majority of the GOP voted not to certify the election results in Arizona and Pennsylvania specifically, not the entire election, dumdum.
Speaking of election denying, Hillary (who claimed that her election was stolen by the Russians) is already spreading conspiracy theories about Republicans stealing the next presidential election before it even happens!
Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been mocked online after she accused Republicans of scheming to "steal the next presidential ele...
Michels has declined to answer questions as to whether or not he would certify the 2024 presidential election as governor should a Democrat win the state.
All you need to do is listen to Steve Bannon, Mike Flynn and others to see where this guy came from and where this is heading. These guys are openly preaching a pseudo religious-political civil war to "take back" the country with Christian Nationalists. The Proud boys, Oath keepers all wanted to be foot soldiers in a war to bring back the pure whiteness of this country. Tucker Carlson has his white power hour where he rails about whites getting replaced by minorities. And these are the mainstream right wing nuts. There are worse ones in the dark corners of the web. Make Our Country Great again is music to these groups ears. Trump has openly called all these groups Patriots and great Americans. He tells them that he is being wrongfully persecuted and they are as well. Today he openly tweets these guys on Truth Social. Look it up if you want to learn their beliefs. It is all out there.
What is really telling is that not one single GOP fanboy on this thread has denounced David DePape's beliefs or any of the things he posted. That is because they are cool with his beliefs because they share them and regularly post them on this message board. This is why this thread is 52 pages long and not one single right winger has accepted any of the facts of this event. They never will.

The establishment protects the elite and their puppets.
When I returned home after a three-week stint covering the fallout of the coup d’état against Jean Bertrand Aristide in 1991 for the Sun-Sentinel, I went to the barber shop for a much-needed haircu…
You don't think that the left wingers saying that this Depape fellow is an example of a widespread, far-right extremist movement aren't "riling up their base?" Lefties have all the political motivation to spin this case, so it's not unreasonable for people to question the story.
As for the whole theory that Depape is a gay prostitute, who knows if that's true. Probably not, but I wasn't there so I want to see the evidence before taking what politically-motivated lefties have to say. After Russiagate, Kavannaugh's sexual assault allegations, Jussie Smollett, Covington Catholic, Kyle Rittenhouse, the Gov Whitmer story, we've all heard enough bullsh!t from lefties and the MSM to not trust them.
Ah yes the iconic rhetorical trap: "Please prove [person x] isn't a gay prostitute, otherwise I win the argument."
Socrates cowers when faced with your logical brain.
The downvotes here are coming from 2 of 3 posters with multiple accounts trying to prop up on Lets Run that their weak arguments actually carry weight and have support. Although there are 10's of millions who believe what these people believe, they still don't make up the majority of Americans. Thank goodness.
Lol. OK, Judge Judy. We will get right on your request. If there is one thing that is important it is some random guy on the internet gets all the evidence right away.
You’re weak. Prove me wrong, weakling.
If there is one thing that is important to the liberal, make allegations with no proof, and when challenged with valid points, just spew sh-t.
This has to be Adult posting on another account. He's the only poster who self-owns like this.

Something you will never read on letsrun, is Kobbs Hessler and C9 and "Adult" coming back to post that with all the new and verified information they realize they were wrong. It was a crazed m'aga nut job pursuing a horrible political attack just as reported.
(Even though they won't post that, is there any chance that quietly to themselves they realize how wrong they were? Sadly, I don't think so, they will just move on to thinking about another conspiracy topic)
