If i am not mistaken Justin Gatlin failed an IAAF drugs test while at Tennessee University and was banned by the IAAF for 2 years but still competed for his university. He won the NCAA 100m event also!!! So to come down hard on Steve Mullings is hypocritical.

You silver spooned boys can have all you petitions and polls, but in the end, the kid is still going to run. And that's the bottom line.
I think I follow you but I want to be certain. Either you really do believe the brothers Johnson shouldn't be able to comment on this issue because of their priviliged background or you're pretending to be that stupid.
I'm a poor black kid and I think Mullings shouldn't be competing. Is that OK with you?
There's only one reason why the jackass brojos are going after this dude. Yes, I'll say it first. Because he's black.
wow you must be a pretty ignorant person
Trackshark has now posted its article.

Wow. I never knew the guy at trackshark disliked us so much. He tries to make it personal about my brother when that is not the issue. The fact my brother coaches at Cornell has nothing to do with this yet he mentions it.
I seriously doubt coach Schmidt knew my brother coached at Cornell. He approached him through letsrun.com. If he had a problem with talking to my brother because he is an assistant coach in college, I tend to believe he would have told him this on the phone instead of immediately hanging up the phone.
And the fact people are calling Al Schmidt at home has nothing to do with us. We never published his home phone number and asked people to contact the coaches and/or administrators in a civil manner. I strongly urge people who contact anyone at Miss St to be civil about it. DO NOT contact them at home. If you can't discuss this in a civil manner, DO NOT contact them. We have no personal vendetta against the coaches at Miss St.
The fact Mullings passed other drug tests means nothing. I repeat it means NOTHING. Athletes often pass many drug tests before and after other positives. All that matters is whether the test Mullings flunked was carried out correctly. The JAAA board has ruled it did. Thus statements such as, "As an alternative process, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) never stepped in to allow another test, which was hoped by Mullings to help clear his name" are meaningless. Athletes who flunk a test don't get a 2nd chance months later to prove their innocence. Kelli White was doping for years before testing positive.
I also see the trackshark guy has edited away some of the posts on his own message board which criticized our typos and the fact Robert was a coach at Cornell and whether rojo would go before the USTCA and advocate for a ban of Mullings. I can say as long as Mullings is banned from international competition, Robert would gladly go before a coaches committee and advocate for an NCAA ban.
And since Boorish before said not to put much credence in our article because it contained typos, I feel I have to point out there are numerous in his article. Personally I don't think it detracts from the substance of the article but apparently some of you do.
1) before the hearing in Jamacia which never took place.
(Jamacia should be Jamaica)
2) "Documents 1 and and some of 2 were in French and we were unable"
there should only be one "and and"
3) "I hope Steve's situation will give rise to a body that can give support to indivdiuals in his situation to offer not only council, but a group that can look at documents and explain if there are errors, such as in this case.""
(indivdiuals) is spelled incorrectly
4) "Schmidt looked to USA Track & Field for guidence and direction, " guidance is spelled wrong
5) "I hope Steve's situation will give rise to a body that can give support to indivdiuals in his situation"
individuals is spelled wrong
6) Since their published article, they have received "threating phone calls, including at my home," according to head coach Al Schmidt.
threatening
7) Since Robert Johnson, an employee and assitant coach at Cornell,
it should be assistant
8) ID number given to Mullings at the time of the Jamacian National Championships last year.
Jamaican spelled wrong
9) In December of 2004, the head of the JAAA, along with much of the staff, have been fired.
"have been fired is improper grammar"
there are more but I think that's good enough.
The IAAF resolved the Gatlin case. He wasn't given a two year ban. Totally different than this case. You don't know what you are talking about.
From the looks of these documents, nothing looks conclusive on their part.
Unless overturned, his ban will start again from his date of last competition. He would have been smarter to redshirt this year and still have a year of NCAA comp after next year.
LOL!
Go git 'em wejo! Tom Booorish just got ripped a new asshole. To think the guy actually called the Brojo's on THEIR grammer (have at it, tb) when he couldn't get his own shit straight. Here comes the excuse, "I was in a rush to publish the truth and I work the site only by myself."

He must be listening as he took down rojo's photo on the article. My girlfriend thought his hair was funny and I don't see it anymore.
I used to think it was a joke when we said "The SEC, if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'"
haha, i can see my coach laughing now...
While the specifics of this issue are interesting it's the ISSUE that I find most interesting. On the track we have Millings and on the road we have Leghazoui and that is more press than our sport got since Trevor sent the spike.More main stream press about the dark side and little if any about the good(exactly where a ex-rapper who can walk for 6 hours fits in is another puzzle for another time).
Back to the joust.........
WEJO - You should now take that keen eye for typos and consistently apply it to your BS "articles". If you can take the time to document TB's errors you should make time to proofread your postings.
You guys should all check out the article on trackshark at

The crux of Steve's argument seems to be that the ID # on the form which has his positive test result (880332) does not match the ID # on the form that Steve signed after his race (880322).
From my point of view, Steve's argument has some credibility if the documents on trackshark are in fact the documents that the Jamaican federation used. The ID # on the test result document is hand-scribbled at the top, and I can't for the life of me find a typed, formal ID # anywhere on the document. To me, this calls into question the document's validity, as I would assume the Jamaican federation would at least have a line on their forms where the ID # should appear. However, for me, enough things have been called into question that I believe that Steve should be allowed to run at NCAAs, especially if he is planning to appeal. I know it's not ideal, but if he does appeal and lose then the NCAA can wipe from the record any of his performances at this championship. And if he appeals to the CAS and wins and he was not allowed to compete in NCAAs, that would be a tragedy. So, I guess what I mean to say is, until we know whether the glove fits or not, we must withold judgement.
ROJO & WEJO look like total fools on this issue. If you compare their "editorial" with the one written by Tom Boorish on TrackShark.com it's apparent that the blojos did not do their homework (carry over from their college days?).
You two fools should stick to cutting and pasting links to other people's stories and web sties and get out of the "journalism" profession completely. Your editorials are worthless and your presentation skills are childish.
Nice try guys, but you are way off the mark. Stick with deleting anti-Bush posts, it's what you do best.

Ok, Tom.
rolls eyes
Well, that email completely nullifies the Miss. St. defense of Mullings. The email states that the university had documents that would clear Mullings. So the trackshark crew did not receive the documents directly from the JAAA or the testers. That id number scribbled on the first document could have been written by anyone, and the fact that it was in the hands of the MSU coaching staff removes any credibility it had in the first case (which wasn't much - everything else on the document is printed).

Rojo started the thread and used his Cornell email address so his being a coach there has everything to do with this. If you really want to keep his personal thoughts separate from his professional life then use a personal email.....
