Sanya said " I literally do not know another female track athlete who hasn't had an abortion."
She did not say "every female track athlete I know has had an abortion."
How could she know whether Lolo, Allyson, or anyone else had an abortion or not? She cannot. Even if someone told her she had never had an abortion, how does she know whether the other woman is telling the truth or not? She doesn't. Therefore, she cannot possibly know that someone else never had an abortion, unless the other person is biologically impossible to get pregnant.
So she is 100% right, and everyone else on this thread has a problem with basic logic.
Allyson was the first thing that popped into my head.
Moral relativity, shades of grey, and hypocrisy of large swaths of Americans was the second. So we assume Allyson hasn't had an abortion. But we also know she's been dating the same fella for 10+ years, meaning sexual intimacy for probably 9+ years. And having listened to some of her parents sermons and workshops on line, they're pretty fundamentalist in their views. And one of her best friends is Buddhist. So... abortion... right or wrong... sex outside marriage... right or wrong... LGBT... right or wrong... interfaith associations.. right or wrong. All in the of the beholder.
Good for SRR for opening dialogue.
To your point on sex education... I live in a pretty segregated county in northern midwest of about 100,000. Most blacks, hispanics, and immigrants on one side, most whites on the other. Alot of inequalities from income, to high school graduation rates, to unemployment, etc. A close friend does sex education and counseling for middle school girls at all middle schools across the county. She said that about 1 in 10 of her white teenage students are sexual active, while about 7 in 10 of her black and Hispanic teenage students are sexual active. Very possibly SRR's sample size may be more sexually active from a younger age than the larger set of all T&F athletes.
"Literally" is a strong word...
Why did she not just go on maternity leave? Nike totally would have been cool with that, they would not have reduced her contract at all

Who gives a fuck? Abortion is uncontroversial except to religious whack jobs.
You're an idiot.

Sick reason.
I can name so many who did not have abortions.
I can name quite a lot who had some unwanted miscarriages.
I can name some who never could have a child.
Sanya you're sick for murdering your child as are all who participated in doing so.
Blacks murder 50-52% of their population by abortion and then continue to vote for the politicians who support places of abortion.
They participate in their own killings overwhelmingly.
Funny that the right doesn't support abortion. So you want more black people around? Because you blame them for a lot of problems.

The language evolves-
for some reason the mods took down a free standing thread about literally and its current usage.

Little cracks in her story... you're telling me as a pro athlete she's not on an IUD if she's concerned about water weight and is sexually active? The idea that a coach, teammate, doctor, SOMEONE wouldn't suggest this is literally unbelievable to me. I do not believe her.
IUDs have only come back in the last couple of years.

The mansplaining on women's hormononal, birth control, pregnancy and athletic experiences in this thread is out of control.
Well apparently she needs some mansplaining, because she failed to do something really fucking simple to keep herself from becoming pregnant. Once you've done something outrageously moronic, you don't get to complain that people are talking down to you.
