My condolences to the family and friends of Steve Bean.
fisky. Thanks for the map. Not sure if this evidentary
or pertinent but fisky's map got me thinking. Why
not use google maps and get a random sampling
of the drivers that appear to using a digital device
on the road where the accident occurred?
Take that variable. We get (using google.com/maps)
Right about
"476 Moccasin Bend Rd, Chattonooga, Tennessee"
There are two semi-trucks (one blue, one green)
headed in opposite directions
if you look closely at the blue semi-cab marked
"Reece Electric Trucking Inc"
headed north. Zoom in to the drivers cab?
It appears the man is on digital device?
Can we assume that all drivers are using digital devices, no.
But if drivers are operating semis and using digital devices
while operating a vehicle, needs to assessed by
the states law makers.
Now zoom into the green semi headed south
in the direction of the google car. Zoom in to
driver. It appears he has one hand on the wheel,
but uncleaer where his right hand is?
The point. Google maps can be a great source
of deciphering data about drivers who use
any road where drivers are using digital devices
while operating a vehicle.
