1,500 results? And why wasn't Bowie on the 4x1 at worlds?

Coburn's previous personal best from 2011 is 9:17.46. I agree there is a disconnect between her 3000SC and her 1500/3000. I do think this result in Zurich is representative of her performance in flat races.
reed wrote:coburn is certainly capable of under 8:50, not 8:59. her steeple is 9:11! she should be running 8:30s
agreed, 9:11 steep and 4:05 1500 so she should be under 8:50 on a decent or good day

Hands down the worst, most disappointing meet of the year. Thought it being close to the worlds meant most would be around peak form? The Weltlasse used to be such a great meet, records galore. Something has to change.
Temperature was in the high 50s and rainy. What do you expect?
Pretty disappointing thread.
Comments without results on a lot of things.

Jager clearly peaked in Paris. World Championships fatigue can't be a factor as the steeple final was 10 days ago. But the best part of guys season seems to be over.
What part of cold and rainy don't you understand?

I think it made a big difference for this meet that Worlds were in China instead of Europe. Back in 2009 when Ritz ran the AR the meet was in Berlin.

It was 10 degrees warmer and dry when Ritz ran his AR.
Why aren't you guys catching on?

Sorry for not posting. I've been cussing out the cable company people. My bill is over $200 a month. How much do you all pay?
ANyway, that was a bizarre race. Rudisha bot passed by like 5 people and then tried to rally. His losing wasn't a shock to me considering he lost in 2011 and 2012 at the end of the season but falling back to 5th or 6th mid-race was a weird site.
Like 50$ a year, socialistic nation jah jah jah (no commercials, former olympic gold in MD expert commentator, guess who).
Surprised no mention of ingebrigtsen. I know you guys only care about americans, but without him that would be one boring 1500m. Tough guy.

It was hot and muggy in Beijing and Jager underperformed there as well. Can't have it both ways.

Uh yes, the Zurich website didn't have much either as far as results.

Most disappointing meet of the year? I'd go so far to say the worst meet of ALL TIME. Our dual meet against Slippery Rock State was more exciting and at least you knew who was running! I've never been this bored during an athletic event. Where were the world records?? Also, they showed NO medal ceremonies! Hello!
Does anyone have the 1500 results?

$0 for me.

Diamond league final, points count double. Nobody wants to risk it unless they're at least 8 points ahead.
Ayana could break the 3000m WR easily with decent pacers. She was barely even winded.

I pay $0 for cable. My TV is wired up to a Mac Mini with 2TB of storage. We record stuff and pay $16/month for Netflix.
