The only difference in the old form and the new one is an additional CSS class attached to it that I use to size the width of the forms depending on the browser width. Everything else is identical.
It's possible (likely?) that the browser is noticing that class (its classname was "username") and that triggers it to performs its autocomplete functionality differently. So, as I noted, it's a browser thing.
Although I understand that people are going to be used it performing one way. and not another. I changed the CSS class from "username" to something less "contextual" and that may make the browser behave as it used to. Let me know if that helps at all. If not, I'm afraid the best thing to do would just be to play with the autocomplete features and see if there's a way to make it behave a certain way on "www.letsrun.com/forum/post.php".
