The Passion of the Christ. What a fcuked up movie!
I knew some idiot would come up with this. Sad thing is, I know who you are.

The Basketball Diaries. This senseless movie and the senseless book it was based on inspired the senseless slaughter of the school children of Columbine High School.
How are either of those related and what didn't make sense about The Basketball Diaries?

Eraserhead....but back in the day I saw it I was a dope smoking, beer swilling teenager so it didn't really matter if it made any sense. Actually, now that I'm 40-something and still swill beer but no longer smoke dope, it still doesn't make any sense.

More movies that don't make sense mentioned in this thread:
Just watched half of The Double Life Of Véronique (from the director of Three Colours)
I love French films but this one was a bit baffling. Just looked it up and apparently there is a fantasy sequence in it. So one of them didn't die? Parhaps my old friend Stéphan Tunstall could explain it to me? Well too late its gone back!
Picnic at Hanging Rock, but not making sense is exactly what makes it great. I've heard that the currently available version is a director's cut that Weir made which edits out some things the studio made him put into the original theatrical release to make it make more sense.
Federico Fellini's "81/2" is the most incoherent crap that's ever been passed off as a "masterpiece".

My point was that the book, the movie, and the Columbine tragedy were senseless and irresponsible.
Jim Carroll's response to the tragedy was lacking in compassion. His ghost's earlier UTube interview link with its one sentence of sympathy didn't change my opinion. Watching his jittery, disconnected interview with Matt L. reinforced my impression that this *poet* was still just a scared punk who wouldn't/couldn't grow up.
If Catholic Boy had been a real Catholic, this event would have weighed heavily on his conscience. I think he just dug wearing the jewelry.
