You guys are such losers. I cannot believe it.

If you are not currently on a team, you shouldn't wear their singlet. It's simple. You want to look like something you are not any more. How hard is that to figure out. Singlet = living in the past. If you can't come up with something better since then, how much have you grown/developed? At least join a club team, or, wear a letsrun singlet. I see 55 year old guys wearing high school t-shirts. Sure, my high school is still bad ass, but, I wouldn't race with one of their t-shirts. It's like a 75-year old, bleached blond with tattoos and bikinis who forgot to shave, especially the tattoos...just plain pathetic and low class.

Agreed, this page has gone to 100 responses.
Meanwhile Rupp is out busting his ass geatting ready for World's, and you guys will ridicule him if he doesnt win both his events in 2 world records.
I think even long after you graduate, you're always representing your school. Of course it's nice if you do well in the race, but even if you're still running in your 40's, 50's, or 60's, why not still wear your singlet. At the least, it shows young kids that you ran for that school and kept at it; the love of the sport didn't die when you graduated and your glory days were over...

How about you don't wear your high school singlet / college singlet or whatever singlet "from your past" and let others who want to do. It is a singlet for Fs sake. You are such a nerd it is sad.

It's better that he run in the singlet he has with a picture of himself on it.
You mean like Bolt in Paris last week?
http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/Usain-Bolt-runs-race-wearing-shirt-with-his-own-?urn=oly-wp425But you are perpetuating a fraud. By wearing your old college singlet, you are sending the message "I CURRENTLY run for CSU", but you don't.
Also, why anyone would wear their old school uniform is beyond me. You are not representing your school; you don't even go to school. That is ancient history.
Summed up in one word - WANKER.
Talk about living in the past...
These past 2 pages are all in response to a thread that's 2 years old!
The USA is a free country you retarded F U C K. This isn't Israel when they shoot their own race in the back for being Muslims. Wear the hell what you want !

You can say it in the screen name.

I don't get it SOF. Do you mean like wearing an NFL shirt. Like a Green Bay Packer Super Bowl Champion shirt?? It's sending a message, "I CURRENTLY play for Green Bay and played in the Super Bowl", but you DIDN'T. Same fraudulant thing!!
if you're running a local road race and going all-out in a college singlet, people are going to assume you don't CURRENTLY run for that school. this is of course even more true if you're especially slow and out of shape while you're racing with it on
I wear a AF singlet and I'm still in High School. The AF Academy is where I want to go so I don't think it's bad to wear one pre- or post-college. You're representing your school. So I would agree that you shouldn't wear it if you're like 100 pounds overweight, but I think it's cool as long as you are in a similar shape as in college.
Dude, this thread is from 2009...
Totally ok. If you still have your jersey then why wouldn't you wear it? That's what its for. Besides if you run well it could be good advertising for your school's program. Wearing your alum jersey to a bar and getting hot sass and beer all over it though...also good for recruiting.
I've never really like Nike Jerseys personally. And brand does matter. Rip that dumb swoosh off your jersey it's a disgrace.
