Many pointed to her greatness at a early age too. We know how that concluded. Marion Jones
Makes what Bolt is doing ever more unbelievable. He's destroying times run by all the greats(frauds). As time goes on we're learning they were all on something. Lewis, Johnson, Christie, Timmy....
Accusation against Ramzi and Regina Jacobs were rampant and BASELESS for years on Lestrun. There accomplishments were peculiar but they were tested hundreds of time and never failed. We know how that worked out.
Last year we learned some Russian athletes were being tipped off before testing. Funny how all of a sudden so many top Russians are starting to test positive. But with testers having to fly into an island like Jamaica I don't think thats possible. Wink Wink. Actually who needs to be tipped off if the stuff you're using can't be detected.
envious creature like it or not you would have to deal with it.bottom line he is the best and will continue to best out there. For a while that is.Go by some more napkins to wipe your tears.Because the 400m record is next. Its not if its when.It is already a done deal.By the the way since you stoop that level, hating instead of congratulating how many jamaica athletes compare to us athletes have caught cheating.Remember most if not all of the ban substances were made in either us or europe.what is that telling you. and as for as usain bolt is concerned this is not an over night thing. You have to consider that he was a man in high school. injure slowed him down in 2004.you guys that are ignorants of the facts, go do some research get the facts and comeback and post it

I agree that Gay is incredible and will run some very fast times possibly legal 9.6x and 19.3x, but the fact that Bolt is still so young and will continue getting better from a 9.69 and 19.30 year is something that everyone should be excited about..I understand if people think Gay can beat him, but It's not worth talkin smack about someone who is obviously incredible and who I don't believe is on any performance enhancers..I say it will be close in the worlds and Bolt will win by a .03-.07 in the 100 and double that in the 2..As far as him ever running the quarter, with that stride, 100-200 speed and with training I know how insanely fast 43.18 is but I think he could run 21.0 and come back in 21.9, droppin a Boltacious 42.9..Just my thought, hate if you want..
You weren't kidding. Picture linked from the front page shows a freaking downpour. INSANE!

that was insane. raining really hard! bolt made the likes of crawford and merritt appear standing still!
Not exactly a downpour, but it was raining. The effect on performance though is questionable.

Either way his performance is likely enhanced artificially.
The Reason Why Bolt Wins And Will Continue To Win
Anybody who is sharp, bright and witty enough - seconds before a major international race - to mimick windshield wipers with a camera in his face because it is raining, must be neurologically optimally wired, relaxed and in control.
A considerable edge over his competitors.
Then you consider the history of his natural talent and the fact he had to overcome some significant adversities.
A winner like the word can't describe.
It could just be we have a genuine Champion of a stature we are just no longer used to.
It's very refreshing.
His times are Dope!
Or the fact that its a European GP meet and there are probably several camera crews and media surrounding him. The fact that his eyes don't look straight ahead at the person asking the question isn't so strange.

This is exactly right. When I look back at Letsrun popular opinion on who is doping, in almost every case of the suspected doper, it proves to be true. Ramzi, Regina, Marion Jones, Eddy H. I'm not talking about the isolated accusations that have hit the likes of Geb and Bekele, I'm talking about popular opinion, where the majority seem to believe doping is likely.
Bolt is too good to be true.

Sounds like a recipe for speed... And please, follow your own advice and 'start making sense.'
do you mean the "effect" of speed?Excessive doubting and speculation can lead to insecurity and a tendency to mix things up.

Wrong. The lynch mob was out in full force for Lagat, and in their eagerness to show what world-wise little cynics they are, they lynched an innocent. B sample? Wassat?
Your definition of "popular opinion" is pretty convenient too. The true consensus, even here, was that due process was due, even in the cases of Ramzi, et al.
Gay ran almost as quickly as Bolt and he also ran faster than all the sprinters before him who were busted; therefore, using letsrun logic Gay must also be doping. Also, for every idiot on here who claims someone is doping, there are probably 5 to 10 true fans of the sport who are out running or who simply shake their heads in amusement or disgust at many of the baseless accusations made on here. 15 - 20 people posting on here over and over again over the course of years that someone is doping does not constitute a majority. By the way, the Jamaican pipeline continues...anyone notice the 19 year old who went sub 10 in the same race as Gay? Want to pronounce him dirty now or will you wait until he runs 9.7 in a couple of years?
