Uhm - I thought you guys were MEN from TEXAS?
Where the heck is the hair on your chest?
That video is a little scary.
Know what they say: "J***ing-off makes your chest hair fall out"

I'm sure maybe you've put on some pounds, but I'm equally sure you're not fat. I'm about to turn 41, I'm fat, and I could run 67 seconds for a 400 right now.
My prediction -- 59.3
Please, for the love of God flagpole, tell me you are trolling. If not, that is some classic Flagpole right there:
1) tells wejo what's what about his own running
2) includes a reference to what FLAGPOLE could do
3) posts his predcition AFTER the race has been posted and the answer given
4) magically comes very close to nailing it
Oh Flagpole, you never dissapoint.
Sir Lance,
I'm at fault here, but only for not reading the whole thread. My hand to GOD that I didn't know he had run it before I posted. I really predicted 59.3. So, no trolling on my part. I got very close to where he would run because it's all logical. He's WAY too fast to run a 67 in a race. My saying I could run a 67 right now is to show how relatively slow that time is for someone like Wejo. No trolling on my part -- just posting before I read the whole thread. So, fault me for that if you like.
Willy, I believe ya, it's just the other 3 million Let'srunners you have to convince, :)
When I train my ass specifically for the 400 I can barely break 60. I always get jealous when I hear stories of people who haven't run for a long time and can bust a 55.

i hear ya. I feel a bit differently, because when I get in some speed work and in decent shape, I could run a 53. BUT>......even when I am just in decent 5k shape and good all around shape (lifting, biking, etc), if I haven't done the speed work, there is no way I can pop on the track and break 60. Maybe 62, but that's when I've been doing a lot more overall exercise than wejo, and I actually had in high school better speed than wejo (split 50 several times on relays). So I am impressed that I guy without tons of speed, and no recent training for much of anything, can pop a 60 without really even warming up much. Not bad. I really need to do speedwork to maintain my speed, or it goes away.

Well wineturtle, as long as you believe me, I can sleep at night!
So you're saying you'd have a tough time breaking 60 out of shape but with some specific training you could run 53? That's impressive.
It would be interesting to see what Wejo could do with serious 10000 training now. I know from my own personal experience that lots of distance training (10K to half marathon) is worse for my 400 than no running at all.

59.9 you've probably got a sub 60 in the tank
so i was off about sub 60, but i think i got closest - can i get some letsrun gear?
Anybody get the exact time? Just using the second hand on my watch and estimating the finish it looks like about 61 =/-?
Philly Phlier wrote:it looks like about 61 =/-?
Should be +/-.
Really though there is no reason to be as white as both brothers are in mid July. That looked horrible...like a couple of shut-ins on their computers all day long. It was gross.
then again to TXrnnrgirl it was probably like milky-white goodness she was drooling over.

It says 60.24 at the end of the video.
The video says the final time was 60.24, and gives the 200 splits too. No idea about Rojo though- What did he run Wejo?
So if I can go around 57 with no training do you think I should move down to the 400?
My apologies about thelack of tan. Looking at myself in the shower I don't look that white but watching the video I was apalled. I swear I'm not one of those pasty white people but I sure loked like it.
I don't know what Robert ran. Slower than 60.24 is all that matters.
Granted he didn't have flats on.
Couldn't get timers? You had to clock your own 400m? That's not fun. Take off half a second!
Alan
I ran 60.24 for a self timed 400 my senior year of high school. I feel like my high school self is now one with Wejo.

I've run like 5 times in 5 months. Maybe 7 or 8. But I was in a boot for 4 months and since then have run 10 minutes here, 15 minutes here, etc.
The other day I ran 30 minutes and was seriously sore afterwards.
So I was jogging today up to the track and started joking about doing a quarter all out.
So now I've run back to get the camera to document the 400.
I just asked JK what I would run... 67 was his prediction "if you're lucky"
I found some Saucony road racing flats I will wear. Other factors before you make your predictions, I've been sick the last couple of days. Wish me luck
(Editor's note: the time trial became a race vs Rojo, the legendary video is on the bottom of every page of this thread)
People shouldn't be treating you with such soft kid gloves for doing this. Wejo, this was the dumbest thing you could have done to yourself. You may have passed our president as the dumbest Yale graduate ever! Wait a moment, I've been urging you to call Dan Dyrek for help with your injury for over a year, and you still haven't-obviously-since your injury is hardly healed. Congratulations, wejo! You are now the dumbest Yale graduate in history!!!
Of course you're going to delete my post, make like it never existed, not call Dan, and continue with your physical ailments for years. It's a pattern similar to Mr. GWB's: ignore wisdom, do something stupid, and cause tremendous hardship because of it. Fortunately you're the only one who will suffer this time.
Happy injury, dumb ass.

Stop being such a racist.
So a physical therapist (Dyrek) is going to heal a delayed union navicular stress fracture? Wow, that is impressive. My wife is a PT and I don't think she routinely is able to treat fractures and get them better.
Where does it say that his injury is not healed?
