thats a good breakdown, if anyone else is decent, than most years the west and south might both only get 2. As you said the criteria are up on the web, and there are NO at large indy's, 7 per every year, nothing based on results. As for the regions performance last year, CNJ got 10th, on their behalf they ran ok, but know they could have run better, that being said it was a weakish year. Geneseo squeaked in, and while they had a good pack, their 1/2 men gave them way to many points. NYU would have been a much better fit at NCAA's, Abdallah would have scored like 5 or something, and Williams should have been pretty far up based on the great run he had at regions. (i think he was the only person in any regional to finish in the top 10 and not go) NYU's pack was right with cnj 3/4/5, so in theory we really had 2 top 10 teams. This region has been improving alot the last 3-4 years, and is poised for some big things with good coaches now at a number of schools.Look at the track (800 and up) lists from indoor and out, the east coast (especially if you include philly schools) is just as good as the midwest. Hey McFly,
Read the post I just put up with the new atlantic region site and the at large criteria.
My thinking is that we have a very good chance of getting 4 teams. Check out this breakdown:
atlantic - 4
central - 5
great lakes - 4
mideast - 4
midwest - 5
new england - 5
south/southeast - 2
west - 3
That's 32 teams. I'd say this is pretty realistic.
