You guys are crying about Hoppel being robbed meanwhile USADA just got exposed, and he ran basically the same time as Sedjati, and his PB was 1:43 before this season and he doesn't have any outdoor medals meanwhile Sedjati at least got a medal in Eugene (Bryce's home turf) in 2022.
You are overhyping the USADA thing, that story about letting a few dopers compete in a sincere attempt to catch others is very far from the widespread institutional corruption or state-sponsored doping programs that we've seen in other countries.
Even better WADA put it out there intentionally misreprenting it to drag USADA through the mud for publicly questioning the handling of the 23 Chinese doping cases in 2021 (which looks like evidence of a state sponsored program)
They aren't even trying to pretend to be anything other than paper pushers and politicwl sleezebags
1. she dropped 1.53 seconds since the Olympic trials for Tokyo. 2. The winning gap between the 400 and 400 hurdles is about 3 seconds for men and about seconds 2 for women. Now Paulino, Benjamin and Hall produced amazing races (I have serious doubts about Warhol Tokyo). But if anything the gap should grow with time.. 3. Bob Kersee is highly controversial. Is she not competing year around for a reason? Will you start doubting when goes sub 50? 49.5? Yes she is a star and built well, but hmmm…. I don’t buy her performance.

Agreed. But on this board no Americans have a possibility of cheating.
You are hands down one of the biggest idiots on this board. Hoppel just set a new American record and ran a great race. If anyone should be devastated, I'd say it would be your parents for raising such a tool.
The race exposed Sedjati's limitations. He has one tactic and Wanyonyi and Arop combined to outsmart him. Lingering at the back is fine until there's people willing to put 30 metres in you. There's a hard lesson there for him. By contrast, I think Hoppel ran a tactically perfect race. If Sedjati had just sat on Hoppel, he'd have the gold medal right now
Agree, although it's somewhat sad Hoppel was tactically perfect (or near) with a one second PB and NR and still only fourth. But he looked great and should be proud.

I hate when announcers say "for the first time since 2016". Like, yes, that's only 1 Olympics where it didn't happen ago before the last time it did. That's nothing at all. Men's 4x100 is a consistent pattern of 20+ years. An American woman not winning the Olympic gold in 100h since 2016 just means somebody else won it last time...
