How about this let's broker a fair deal that we can both accept.
Fisher was honest at the US 10k trials then slipped into dishonesty for the 5k trials the following weekend and maintained this dishonesty in the Paris Olympic 10k final.
In this way you are right he was honest in space and time and I'm also right that he is dishonest in space and time right????
Are you trackgirl or something??? Please come on use that real name of yours and talk to me like a real man pls!!!!! If you are a girl, the same and talk to me like a real girl!!!!!
I don't take sides with any country on this planet earth but I find the American sentiment surrounding clearly doped af American athletes like Fisher very affected hence erroneous. It's like Fisher paid all of you to blow his trumpet at every turn or what????
This American-bias for highly suspicious cheats need to stop on LRC seriously!!!!!!!
Are you a guy who doesn't have real girls talk to him? All this anger just lives rent-free in your head. But you do you boo.
I just hate the way Fisher runs. He's super tight on the rail. He creeps up and overlaps runners that are in a normal position relative to the rail, which causes a tripping risk. It's boring and there are no moves or strategy except "tuck in as tight as possible on the rail until 120 to go." But hey, he got the bronze 🤷♂️ - would have preferred an Ethiopian sweep (better runners and more interesting tactics).
I don't accept your deal. Everything you have said, you don't "know." you might believe it, but that doesn't make it true. And even if it is true, it'll catch up to him and he'll be another Marion Jones. My encouragement to you is to enjoy it. you have no knowledge. don't assume you're smarter than the whole room. Cheers!
hmm, more interesting tactics? The goal is to win a medal. The Ethiopians aren't better runners, or more than one of them would have a medal. Tactics are good if they work, and they didn't work this time. The rest of the world is better and the team running didn't drop the contenders.
I agree that no one wants a boring race, but settling back and being smart and not responding to every move? That's smart running in a championship final.
The kenyan supporters are going to very unhappy with today's results.
placing 3 in the top 7 is about as impressive of a performance as you can get under most circumstances. if all three get shut out of the medals, that's when you start to criticize
I like Fisher and congrats to him. That was a great run - these were Africans he beat, people!
That said, I too find his racing style unentertaining, and while his tactics may work up to national level, I can with confidence predict he'll never win anything at global. He has no explosive kick, so there always be "Aregawi's" to dust him in the last 100.
He's uglier, he never participated that much on his school team for the first couple years, he had an odd coaching arrangement with salazar, worse name, also Rupp had a teammate in the race. Rupp trained with Farrah, No one in the top 10 was a training partner of Fischer so he went it alone

Yeah, but a medal at the olympics is enough to call him an American legend. He won an NCAA title, two high school xc titles (while being a miler), and a couple american titles.
there'll always be someone better, no one's gonna win every time when they go out.
I'd trade an olympic bronze for an indoor or world gold anyways. He's certainly been capable of winning and now's not the time to rain on his parade
