I said that it was enacted while Nixon was president and that lefties like it.
The new generation is shaping up to be much more conservative than in the past. There is a growing backlash against the liberal indoctrination centers called public schools. Maybe when these kids hit 18, Democrats will want to repeal the 26th Amendment.
I teach high school. I’m around 13-19 year olds Monday-Friday. The new generation is way more progressive than who came before. And I think that’s great.
Definitely depends on the school. Kids tend to parrot their parents, and just like social media the ones on the left try to be loud/peer pressure others so it seems like "everybody" thinks this way. You may be right about the greater population that age, I don't know, though (your sample is too small).
That being said, there is a minority of young people in that age range who are incredible (I taught until last year as well) and may well be the creative minority that sets up a parallel polis to the anti-culture we see now. I've been beyond impressed with some of them. I think part of it is that their Gen X parents grew up surrounded by the crap the Boomers forced on us and are able to effectively filter the baloney when raising their kids.
No one knows what the GOP is right now. It's changing before our eyes. Trump has radically changed the platform.
But, to answer your question, the GOP is completely spineless. They hold no one to account. They allow billions to flow to the Ukraine while 11 million illegal aliens roam our country. Fiscal Responsibility used to be a GOP talking point. Not now.
Mostly because they are spineless while their democrat colleagues run rough shot over them time and time again. Trump has been impeached like 17 times by the democrats!
And for the doubters. Kamala2024 will be much better than Project2025.
If you don't know what that is you better look it up.
Trump has rejected Project 2025. You libs keep being up fake news. Trump is promoting Agenda 47- get that through your thick head.
MAGOA!
What about just a party platform? You know, a clear statement of the administration's priorities and goals that's made maximally accessible to the electorate? If we're 4 months out from the general and no one knows WTF "agenda 47" actually is, then there is reason for some concern, wouldn't you say? And, yeah, you'll say that the other side doesn't even have a candidate. But that's no excuse for lack of clarity on your side. The GOP has known who their candidate will be for at least a year now. How can the party still be unclear about what he plans to do with all that power?
