Good from Ben Patterson. Second on all time Brit list after Coe.

Pattison 1:42.27!!!
Awful...but he still ran 1:42.93
Arop ran 1:42.9 and got destroyed. Pattinson also #2 brit now
Wow Sedjati
All 10 under 1:44
I'll have some of whatever sedjatis on

Arop might be the fastest clean guy in the 800m, but he definitely off today all the same
No, that's Ben Pattison. Not because Arop is dirty, but Pattison is now faster than him.
If Sedjati is doping, I wonder how the rest of the field feel about it as he's clearly dragging them all to massive PBs

Arop was smiling in disbelief after the race at the performances in front of him.

How do you even beat someone that can close like that on low 1:41 pace?
Also, carnage behind. 2.5 second PR by mohamed attaoui of spain
2 second PR by ben pattison
10th runs 1:43.95, a time that would have won most of the major championships of the last few years and almost all of the diamond league races in that time as well
You gotta wonder how Hoppel would have fared. Maybe 1:42 mid?? Tough field
The entire field ran sub 1:44. How many times has that ever happened? It's taken a few years, but it feels like the 800 is back
Second place guy looks 15 years old compared to the others
Djamel Makhloufi Sedjati

Eh Arop took this one on and Wanyonyi did the last one. He was running 1:43s until he had these guys attacking the early pace.

I don’t appreciate the jealousy. Show some respect for one of the best we have ever seen.
Yea would've been great to see him in the mix

Arop still what he was last year. apparently
Yeah on reflection I was too harsh calling his last 100 awful, he still ran 1:42.9.
Problem is the rest of the top-10 800 guys have all taken a leap and are running 1:42 low, Arop's been left in the dust

IN terms of the meet, I'm stunned that so many people are picking Sedjati to beat Arop. In my mind, the champ, who is undefeated this year, needs to be the favorite.
I'm very excited for the 1500? Do we have at least 2023 Jakob? Is Laros looking like the next Jakob and is he better than the Americans? How does Yared look?
Anyone know what's up with Hoppel?
It’s because six men ran faster than Arop’s lifetime best in Paris on Sunday, including Sedjati by a whopping 1.3 seconds. Add another 2 new names to that list who have crushed Arop’s PB after today. Things change.
