3:30 at the US olympic trials
Unbelievable

How about Ciattei though. He held it together pretty well, wasn't far from making the team.
3:31 with a great close. He would've made it just about any year. Wow what a team we have.
Hold on…. Hocker is YOUNGER than Nuguse? I thought he was pushing late 20s, esp since he won the last Trials.

Where was Teare? Totally exposed.
As a major Cooper fan Boi I'm not doing well

We could come back with two medals in the best 1,500 field ever, and Hocker has a chance to win the whole thing and be one of the best ever. Amazing team we’re sending. They’re all young too.
That’s a little harsh, isn’t it? He led the majority of the race. give him a chance to draft off somebody. Maybe he finishes stronger hocker is no joke

damn, Nathan Green was right there. great finish.
Props to Ciattei also, mid-race was like get the f out of there, thought he was mucking it up. Almost pulled it off.
God I love the 1500m. So fun to race, so fun to watch

Great move by Kessler covering off the outside of lane 1 on the finish.
I thouht the opposite. Ciattei had room to pass him on the inside.

This has to be one of the best mens 1500 Olympic teams this country has ever sent, right?
52.63 last 400 for Hocker. Best kick in the world!
52.6 final 400 in a 3:30 race for Hocker, absolutely a medal threat. Nuguse 53.17 final 400 is no joke either, especially with how much he led. Awesome race

Yes blame Jerry on single thing.
What a race. I was nervous as hell for Kessler that final 50. Looked like he was going to get run down but had something left!

Has to be a gold medal contender after that. Josh closed in 53 last year right?
3:34 for Engels is still good. What a run for Ciattei. Green’s time has to be up there on the all dates ncaa list

Not seeing one so kicking it off here -- Holloway 12.92 tied for 14th best ever!
LRC note: We've chaned this into the official thread. The reaction show will start at 11 pm ET once again:
🥱Americans overhyping again. None of these guys will medal at the olympics, save this post.

Nuguse is 25, Hocker 23, and Kessler is 21. Every other decent 1,500 meter runner should consider the 800 or the 5,000 for the next Olympic cycle.

There's a reason the men's 1500 final is the warmup event for the steeple prelims and two other more compelling distance finals tonight: Jakob/Yared/Josh with a splash of Jake/Tim is the only interesting dish in 2024. Nuguse well clear, Hocker safely in 2nd with a JV scrum in tow? Ain't nobody got time for that.
Jesus Christ, you're an imbecile. That was a great race. (And you got it backwards.)
