You blast every person who makes a realistic prediction. You and 2 other crazy fans created the pressure without realizing it. You called her generational talent.
you realize there have been many threads in which predictions of how fast Valby will run were made? I agree it puts pressure, and Semihaze with all of the fan sites amplified it....but it is the nature of being among the best I fear.
WTH are you even talking about? What prediction have you made? How many other high school phenoms that emerged at an early age successfully carried it forward through college in women's distance running.
People like you, but especially you, are the reasons that I am not a Tuohy fan, because there is otherwise nothing actually about her that is in any way objectionable. It is just the Tuohy fans' excesses and inability to believe that anyone who beats her is not doping that gets to me.
Decker. She was great before and after college. Already at 14, she was competing against and beating the Russians. She then missed multiple Olympics because of age (1972), injury (compartment syndrome in 1976), and boycott (1980) before dominating 1983 and 1985 World Champs. She was caught doping in the 1990s but I would guess she doped in the early 1980s because of the double whammy of being in Athletics West (with a doctor who gave steroids to a number of his athletes) and being with a doping thrower.
That is your issue. When I think someone is not on the level, I state why. And I have not called out many on the college level. Feel free to tell me where I am wrong. But no point being a pollyanna.
I know she’s just started running to get into racing shape but I agree with the Henes approach of ‘race yourself into shape’. I think the excessive expectations of winning or setting a record/PR every time she gets on the track may work against her in terms of just following the Henes approach. I hope I’m wrong and she’ll just put all the usual pressure to perform aside and get a ‘good workout’ in at the trials. I doubt it, though. I found her online workout posting a bit curious since she telegraphed her intent to join Henes in Flagstaff along with her Adidas colleagues and showed her running with her brothers at ‘low altitude’. She’s only 22 and injuries are part of this sport. Others will miss this round due to injuries as well. Even though fans would love to see more events the fact is that sparse racing schedules are the life of the pro’s.
You don't think she was already in the testing pool, competing at USAs?
She may be in the pool, but here's her USADA Athlete Test History:
"No results found for your selection criteria. Please change your selection and try again."
Unless you have at least some evidence for accusing her, you're point is really kind of silly. It's not up to people to prove you wrong if you can't even prove your point in the first place. There is absolutely ZERO signs pointing towards her doping.

If people would stop constantly accusing Valby and Wiley of being on drugs with absolutely ZERO evidence, then people would stop accusing Tuohy. I hadn't seen a thread about Wiley in weeks and as soon as someone posted that she was running tomorrow, post #3 started in on the drug accusations. If Valby hits the Olympic standard or breaks an NCAA record next week, the drug accusations will immediately fly.
Right now, with her recent association with Nick Bair, Tuohy has made herself a target. Bair is considered by almost everyone to be a PED user. I spend as much time in the gym as I do on the roads and even the "gym bros" who idolize his work ethic, watch his videos religiously, and emulate his workouts believe he is using PEDs. PEDs or not, the guy is impressive. But I haven't met a single person that knows of Bair that thinks he is built like that and runs like that by eating chicken and protein powder. I don't know how much money she made in that deal, but associating herself with him was a terrible decision.
Everybody here knows astro is completely full of $hit but none of the Tuohy fans will criticize him. They just look the other way and let him post his nonstop lies and libel. He has singlehandedly created a lot of animosity toward Tuohy. He's so relentless that sometimes I wonder if he isn't a Tuohy-hater who is TRYING to ruin her reputation.
ALL of the baseless accusations against Valby, Wiley, and Tuohy need to stop but the owners of the site LOVE it because it generates clicks and makes them money.
Accuse KT all you want. You have zero ammunition. Oh no, she promotes an extremely successful line of legal supplements with 40 million in annusl sales. Lolll. She is a target for 2-3 complete idiots on here. Wiley gets accused bc are you for real? Of course she does. As to Valby, what she did at ncaa indoors was not normal and everyone knows it.
Also if we are going to play the game of Bare supplements are legal but you think the guy takes steroids like Chris Hemsworth, well then wasn't Valby's close family member a competive bodybuilder? Interesting logic. Loll.

The husband before the thrower was also known to partake in the winny which was popular in that circle.
