Not at all impressed with Mike Smith in regards to getting his other athletes prepared. So far the DMR, Quax, Herrera, and Sahlman have pretty much bombed this Championship.
Not that the women are expected to score big, but hopefully Congdon can nab some points coming up in the 8 and mile. Very impressed with her to make each of these finals in light of the prelims of each being only half hour apart.

coach still comes out ahead on this one, in my opinion. 2 x National championships with Young + 20 points is a ‘win’.
Congdon is indeed very impressive. With this extremely tight schedule, she’s going to be wrecked in her 2nd race (the Mile, which comes after the 800m). She has - what - 25 mins to recover? This scheduling is a nightmare for those doubling (with the exception of the 5k/3k crowd who have the luxury of a day apart and no heats).

Correction - 800m comes after the Mile. Point still stands. 25 mins to recover just isn’t enough. Still very impressive of Congdon though.
'what's more important to you: winning the race or the 10 points for the team?'
--I'm curious about why the announcing team thinks we're so excited about the team title. Sure, if I was a Texas Tech fan I'd care, but for all the rest of us I would guess most people are far more interested in the individual winners.
Letsrunners are hard to please, blathering endlessly about teams throughout the fall, yet complaining of team talk come track season.

she didnt look great in that mile. either shes pacing herself or shes still not recovered from yesterdays effort. thoughts and prayers to her legs having to double 25 minutes apart.
