I'm amazed that someone could watch Nikki being interviewed after a race and not find them extremely likeable. They exude positivity. I've watched a rerun of the race 4-5 times and Nikki ran a perfect race. They didn't bite when the Ethiopians took off early (no one did) and they always seemed to be positioned perfectly. Nikki is so efficient. They run like a well-tuned machine. In contrast Emily MacKay's, who made the defining move of the race, form was painful to watch. She is one gutsy runner. If the Ethiopians had run smarter they may have swept. All those surges and weaving around cost two of them big time. What a great race.
