It is at the Olympics but not at the World Championships. Ask Athing Mu about that.
But one Olympic title does not erase 3 losses in the world champs. There isn't an "equation" involved here.
Mu won WC and OG.
To include a 4th place finish at age 18 and a silver this year while sick as proof that the OG winner is not a championship racer is absurd
As the reigning Olympic champion Mu came third in the last WC. Her Olympic victory doesn't erase that loss - just as it doesn't for Jakob's 3 losses. He wasn't sick - but his fans obviously are.
It is at the Olympics but not at the World Championships.
At the Olympics an Olympic title is more important than a World title - aha. What's wrong with posters like this old man?
To clarify it for you, Armstupid: the Olympics are more important than the World champs. And the World champs are more important than the South East Asian games.
But you havn't said which event in Budapest you liked most. Maybe the women's 10000m? Tsegay, Gidey, Taye. OK, no Lorraine Moller, unfortunately she missed to qualify.
A World Championship title is as it says - the best in the world. That puts it on a par with an Olympic title - unless you think that also includes the universe.
But since you claim to know better, which one of these titles to you have? And tell me more about your fantasies while you were watching the women's events in Budapest, since those are clearly your preference.

No, a World title is not on a par with an Olympic title. A World indoor title is not on a par with a World outdoor title - also anybody is allowed to compete in both.
There are even some athletes who didn't even cared to compete in Budapest (McLaughlin, some pregnancys). Any athlete, really any athlete would choose an Olympic title ahead of a World title.
I don't have any of those titles - which is completely irrelevant for the question.
The women's events are not my preference, you are also wrong here. I like Gudaf Tsegay - and you?
Imagine thinking that finishing 4th in the WC 1500m as an 18 year old is proof Jacob is a poor championship race. And ignoring his OG 1500m win as a 20 year old!

So that means his series of World Championship losses don't really matter? I don't think he feels that way. Hence, the excuses.
They matter a lot. The undoubtedly best 1500m runner of the last two years has lost the two world finals in those years.
So he is not on a Lewis (LJ), Bubka, Gebrselasie (10k), Bekele (10k), El G, Koch, Moses, Duplantis, Bolt, Crouser level.
Well, if he wins the 1500m at next year's OG he will join Coe as the only 2 time winner. At the age of 23. If he doubles and wins the 5k, he will join El G and Paavo Nurmi as the only winners of that double (I believe; male only).

Two Scottish runners have put an asterisk over the claim he is the best 1500m runner today. In those two world championship finals (and a third - with your usual excuses) he clearly wasn't.

Regardless of what you think an athlete would prefer, a world championship title is - as it says - the best in the world, as is an Olympic title (and not all eligible athletes compete in the Olympics either, for a variety of reasons). At a global level, Jakob has shown repeatedly that he hasn't been the best where that was what the competition decided.
Of course you like Tsegay - you make a point of expressing your partiality to women runners. It isn't difficult to see why a fantasist like you would.
You have just dispensed a series of insults at me while accusing me of the same thing. You are a ph*qing moron. That isn't an insult; it is a statement of fact.

What a stupid post. "If" he does this and "if" he does that. He might also be the first runner on the moon - "if" he goes there.

Imagine thinking that a runner who his fans claim is the best championship 1500m runner in the world has been unable to win a World Championship 1500 title on 3 occasions. His sole Olympic title is starting to look as much a fluke as Centro's, brought about by fortuitous pacing.

And on two occasions he wasn't even on the Wightman or Kerr level. The arguments here either excusing his losses or inflating his achievements are hot air. He is a good but not great 1500 runner.

You are like a monkey flinging poo at zoo visitors. What a sad existence, monkey.

No athlete, absolutely no athlete would skip the Olympics if not for injury or something like that. The Olympics are more important than the World champs, everybody apart from you knows this.
How many times you will repeat that JI has been 2nd in the last two World champs 1500m finals? He's not the 1500m dominator.
I'm generally more interested in the men's races, so you are wrong also here, like in almost all of your statements. Tsegay is my favorite female athlete, which is yours?

He is the 4th fastest 1500m runner in history, he is the Olympic champion and has two Silvers from the world champs - at 22 years of age. He is a great 1500m runner, for sure. Coe is one of the greatest 800m runners in history - despite finishing 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd at the biggest champs in 78, 80, 82, 84.

Coe is not one of the best of the best championship 800m runners because of his record. You’d put him in a second tier with Joaquin Cruz below Rudisha and Kipketer. Same as you’d put Jakob in a second tier of 1500 running with Lagat/Ngeny/Cram/Tim below Morceli/El Guerrouj/Coe for now. I’ll leave Kiprop out due to doping. Jakob has a chance to jump to the top group but he needs 2 golds.
