Initially, this thread was entitled "UCLA track coach, Sean Brosnan, Fired for NCAA violations" but we changed it as Brosnan told us he was simply not renewed for next year.
Best day ever for every coach that has morals and plays by the rules. Karma baby!!!!
I stated a year ago- GOT ZERO UP LIKES that the UCLA type kid doesn’t want someone who will lead them to greatness. That he would be gone in less than a year and that he took the wrong job.
UCLA xc kids could care the hell less about winning. Sean is the victim here.

How is Sean a victim when you just told us that his athletes had no interest in winning? So he is lucky to get out or else you are lying to us?
Just because an athlete announced a commitment to UCLA soon after entering the portal doesn't necessarily mean there was tampering. An athlete, from LA, could have been set on going back home. Wants to attend UCLA under Brosnan. Very good athlete. Enters transfer portal, talks to him immediately, announces it soon after.
Anyone who thinks this doesn’t work in college athletics. If a kid commits within 24 hours of being on the portal, there is a serious problem. You need to clear the athlete with your compliance department, clear the athlete academically, make sure you have scholarship money. Typically an athlete will take visits. It’s usually a multi-week or month process
Per actual sources, he is out due to media pressure and the new Big Ten teams not wanting him in their conference. The media pressure side probably influenced by the stink created on sites like this.
Technically the transfers could stay at their current schools and be fine (assuming the coaches let them stay). If they enroll in classes at UCLA this fall, then want to transfer back or to a new school, they will have to sit out a year.

There were athletes that committed to UCLA before ever entering the transfer portal. There were posts here confirming the commitments before the athletes ever entered the portal.
100% it was Brosnan posting here to brag and try to get more athletes to commit.
Literally the only other new big 10 Team is USC, and I don't think they have the power to force out a coach at another school. Also like lol, AD is so dumb if he fired someone because one of his OPPONENTS wanted him out.

This is a lie. That's not how things work. The big 10 cross country teams don't get to chose to fire the coach of an incoming team.
The AD doesn't have time to read letsrun.
Brosan will try to spin this FIRING every way he can. But the end result is the same - Brosnan waiting in the unemployment line holding a cup of his self-brewed coffee.
Brosnan, who coached the greatest boys HS team in history at Newbury Park, has confirmed to LetsRun.com that he won't be returning for a 2nd year at UCLA. "“I'm disappointed. I'm bummed. I'm upset. I don't want to pretend lik...
Rojo, that article is factually incorrect. Their steeple guy finished 10th, not 8th, at NCAAs.
He threw together an article that actually talks about the situation versus the flash fluff flotrack did. He did it in about an hour, pls relax. He got a minor detail wrong but actually broke news and gave context.
