It's not in my nature to agree with letsrun people, but yeah. The constant need to cross-train instead of healing injuries...the food challenges...Who would prescribe 2-3 hour bike doubles while doing treadmill or serious hikes? what is going on here? and all of the body shots, etc. It does not seem like recovery is going well. can she sit with her body in a rested state?
100% agree on this!
a chronically injured and/or overtrained male triathlete
Isn't it time for this young lady to move on to a normal career? She just isn't pro runner material in terms of making a living. Very few are. Its a struggle for all but the very best and she is not a international elite.
isn't it time for you to stop being toxic on LRC? don't you have better things to do than hate on people who work hard to achieve their dreams?

Unfortunately it is really difficult for those that crave attention to simply slip back to obscurity. Look how many has been celebrities appear on reality tv, cooking, ice skating, sewing, singing, literally anything to in their mind stay relevant.
I've just had my post removed from another forum for suggesting that a 62 year old woman with anxiety and "nowhere to live and no job" uses the 300k she has in savings to buy somewhere to live. The amount of attention these people get is ridiculous.
They can't exist without mysterious problems to gain them attention and waste other peoples' time. The young lady is leading an idyllic life with amazing opportunities to travel and train and race denied to most. But she seems poorly educated. Imagine seeing French signs in France! Or running off into the Alps with no idea where she is or in a thunder and lightning storm. She lacks resilience and comes across as whiny and spoilt. If she really does have mental health pr8blems, then travelling around with no fixed base is generally agreed to be counter productive, so what is she doing?
She will not have a career in trail running. She is too injury prone to train for/race track, let alone the trails. Additionally, she cannot handle high mileage which is needed for trail running.
You've got it backwards. For multiple reasons, trail running/racing is brilliant to break an injury cycle, and build a durable athlete.
looks like she has struggled with emotional issues for a few years now . it looks like she really does not have the mental/physical capabilities to be a professional runner. was obviously good in college, but probably needs to end it. and get some therapy and a job. i'm sure she is very stressed. she was handed a trail sponsorship for some bizarre reason. is coached by someone that has 0 knowledge of trail racing and a boyfriend that needs to get a real job.
The real job thing will become harder and harder the further they get away from their degrees. Plus Spencer’s YouTube content isn’t the best digital footprint wise. How many companies want to hire the half marathon dressed as Mario guy? Look at how Wesfly deleted most of his YouTube
Compare to Lex and Leo, who post mature and professional content. No employer would have a negative view of what they post

so you are an a-hole on multiple forums not just this one?
Chew On This: Is It Chomping Or Champing? : Editorial Guidance from the Managing Editor : NPR
And it's "it's", with an apostrophe.
They are not both acceptable. Champing at the bit (tugging) is what horses do when they are eager to get going. Its not the same as chomping you uneducated fool.
Pretty odd that Allie would struggle with “ eating issues “ so late in her 20’s . Most cases are teens and college age I think . not 100 % sure
Time to get tough , find a good therapist before it’s too late ( running career )
You'd be amazed. I'm upper middle aged and it's my go to coping mechanism.
I have an 82-year-old aunt who still has disordered eating. 5'10, 120 lbs. It's amazing she's still alive. She's on a steady diet of MGD Lite and cigarettes, and at this point no one's stopping her. She's also survived both breast and ovarian cancer.
