Masks while running is another good one. I would be running on a trail and see people with gators around their neck cover their face briefly while passing. Lol nice gesture I suppose but totally useless.
Pinnacle Covid clown world is threads like this where Harambe is obviously posting under several anonymous names to try to get some point across that he failed to deliver in the official Covid thread.
The only thing I learned about Covid from him is that he's gay and isn't selective when it comes to jabs, whether from needles or other appendages.
but for me, it was every liberal telling me how important social distancing was, and how not adhering to it would "kill my grandma". Then George Floyd happened, and for a couple weeks, that was completely disregarded with mass gatherings of people.
few weeks after, it was back to grocery stores having designated line up spots 6 feet apart, liberals whining on social media about texas high school football games being packed ("how irresponsible of them!")
What was your pinnacle moment of the covid clown world for you?
I would say...when do-nothing, leeches of society like you just complained the whole time while people were out there trying to keep the millions of additional deaths as low as possible, developing a vaccine that is nearly 100% effective at preventing death and working extra hours to take care of these people. That... is what I will remember about the "libertarian" cult in our society. Thanks for reminding us that people like you are still around being part of the problem.
The most ridiculous part was how political things became. How the right took a stand against science, because of their "rights." As with the right's love for All guns despite the # of people who are dying at the hands of military style weapons, we saw a similar selfish attitude on display during Covid. Don't make me take the jab (disregard my 4-5 good friends who died of Covid). My "rights" stand above all else. Selfishness personified. Forget about our communities and their safety.
I had a patient that I did a laprascopic nephrectomy on. I was following up with him and his wife told me that he got covid and died. I told her that she is an idiot 🙄
I am a specialty physician in private practice. I trained at an Ivy League residency and The Mayo clinic for my fellowship. I primarily work at one of the largest tertiary hospitals in my state with a large emergency room and ICU. I worked in the hospital a LOT during the Pandemic, including performing procedures on numerous patients who were infected with COVID and sometimes intubated etc. Early on (IE April of 2020) I told one of my partners what we should be doing as a country to manage the pandemic. This is what I outlined: -N95 masks for all hospital workers who are in contact with sick patients. Any other type of mask has marginal benefit. -All Elderly or high risk individuals should be quarantined until we further understand the disease. -Everyone else can go to work with social distancing. If you live with a very Elderly/high risk person, take extra precautions. -Accept that this is a highly transmissible disease. Do what you can, but realize the virus will INEVITABLY spread throughout most of the population. -NO lockdowns. NO school closures. NO DELAYING SURGERIES AND PROCEDURES!!!!! -Vaccinations for Elderly and high risk people as well as healthcare workers over 50. The virus is overwhelmingly mild in children and healthy adults.
I can't believe how right I was, and how completely wrong the government was with virtually every decision that they made. Government including the CDC should NEVER be allowed to take over in the manner in which they did. Many people died from not receiving the medical care that they should. The people who died from COVID almost always had multiple comorbidites or were very elderly. The measures taken to protect people in this category were mostly futile, and came at a VERY high cost. Most physicians I work with agree with me, but stay quiet for fear of losing their positions. A lot of what the layperson thinks they know about COVID is wrong or incomplete, but the arrogance of many of these same people blinds them from the truth. I could write a book about the falsehoods and exaggerations that perpetuated throughout the pandemic in regards to all the bad things that COVID supposedly does. COVID was essentially a nasty respiratory virus that resulted in temporarily increased ICU volume and intubations because peoples immune systems were naive to the disease. It is true that this overwhelmed hospitals at times. Almost everything else was complete garbage.
Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator of the White House coronavirus response, could be seen on a side camera as Pres. Trump floated ideas to her at a Task Force bri...

Spot on. Let's also remember how even Republicans were concerned about covid in the beginning until the news started to come out that it was mostly impacting Blacks and Latinos. Then their tone changed real quick. "It's just a cold!"
“I think people should [take hydroxychloroquine],” he told reporters at a White House press briefing on Saturday. “If it were me, in fact, I might do it anyway. I may take it … I have to ask my doctors about that. But I may take it.”
Trump said lupus patients – who are often treated with hydroxychloroquine – seem less likely to contract Covid-19, and that “there’s a rumor out there” and “there’s a study out.”
“Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s not. Why don’t you investigate that?” he asked.
President Donald Trump has twice tested negative for the coronavirus, but during a briefing at the White House on Saturday, he said he “may take” the drug hydroxychloroquine against Covid-19. He suggested it has protective ef...

Yet this didn't in any way impact you
Never said it did. Although I did feel kinda bad for folks racing 5ks outdoors with a cloth mask on the entire time. Seems like torture to me. Oh well, live and let live.
Was 32/33 at the time. Bmi of 19.6, extremely healthy runner etc. You get the picture. Never had a flu jab and never needed one.
Was told I wouldn't be able to get a job if I didn't have the vax, or even go to shops.
Saw through it all.
Knew it was not needed for most healthy young people.
Scientific advisors told the UK government not to jab young children as the evidence was lacking, but they did it anyway.
It was all about $$.
Government ministers like matt Hancock made a fortune by giving government contracts to friends and associates.
So after 3 years you still don't know that you passed the virus on to people who were at high risk and who ended up dead. What a dumb ass. You are exactly why a over a million Americans died.
Since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, President Trump has repeatedly said that the virus will disappear. Read more: https://wapo.st/2KQuOB3. SPECIAL O...
