The houses for sale currently on Zillow in Eugene are less than desirable. Not much inventory. There is not one house I would consider buying in any price range, and I’m not that picky.

This is a slow time of the year for real estate and there are 341 houses and town homes available for sale on Zillow in the Eugene area. I have a property management company in my home town and I will say prices are higher in Eugene than where I live, but definitely lower than in Beaverton.
This house came on the market yesterday in Eugene and seems like it would be a suitable house for a BTC runner:
I heard that Alistair Cragg was the glue that held this group together. When he and Amy left and started their own Puma team that it was just a matter of time until things unraveled. We are seeing this now. I wonder if any of these disgruntled athletes will jump ship and head to Alistair’s Puma team?
Living in a college town when you’re not associated with the university is depressing.
Memo, they are associated with the University in a very key way whether they like it or not. The run for Nike due to the largess of Phil Knight who cares very much about Oregon.
Can they not just live in Portland and drive down for the key workouts?
Illogical move wrote: Many athletes have been leaving BTC. If more athletes leave when does Nike or Nike Sports Marketing question the two coaches motives?
HELLO? The man who is responsible for Nike being so into track and field has literally given hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars to Eugene/Nike/Hayward Field. Nike execs understand damn well the coaches motives - please Phil and make UO a distance powerhouse. If Nike's runners don't want to run there, I'm surethey'll be happy to tell them, "Find another coach or don't let the door hit you on the way out." Phil would MUCH rather see Oregon thrive than see the the #4 runner on the BTC have a rocking Bumble account.
Wait....Phil Knight didn't care about french braid Friday?
Yeah if this is a problem and you need a mom to run your day to day the east answer is join the Tinman Elite program
I was wondering when someone would mention Tinman Elite, and knowing that it wouldn't be friendly or positive. Such a posting was just a matter of time, and WE HAVE A WINNER! Haters gonna hate on LRC.

Actually this was meant to be a positive recruiting pitch for TME but of course you only want to hate. Again, If you need full time assistance in a mothering kinda way definitely join TME. If you don’t need 24/7 nurturing BTC is the better option.
You call that 'miss management issues', but I suspect this is all part of an elegant plan to rebrand BTC because Houlihan got caught doping. See NOP's rebranding.
This. The move back to collegiate helps clean up the image for Jerry, BTC and Nike to an extent.
Cry me a river. Let me get this straight. You're an elite world class athlete and run for one of the premier track clubs in the world. You have a coaching staff that has put together a world class program for you, you're surrounded by other world class athletes that train with you, you have unlimited access to gear, training facilities all of which are located in town that loves running. Are you kidding me? and your bit^hing about moving 1 1/2 hours away?
Anyone who has posted support for any of these freakin' whiners have never been a world class runner who have had to move across the country or even the world to have access to all of the amenities these athletes have.
Suck it up and Shut up, it's your job!
The move to Eugene is not why the athletes are not happy. The athletes know their job far better than you and they “suck it up” every day grinding it out chasing their dreams.
The athletes are not happy because:
- they were not consulted about the move.
- how the Shelby Houlihan situation was miss handled and how that reflects poorly on them.
- access to the facilities at UofO are not working out the way they were told.
- coaching staff has been MIA due to commitments of running a university team.
- BTC support staff have left.
- athletes have left.
Based on the above information, that has been out there for a while, there is probably many more miss management issues that go deeper than the above.
BTC is comprised of intelligent athletes. They most likely have had several meetings with Schumacher and Nike Sports Marketing expressing their concerns. If more athletes leave, in addition to those athletes that have already left, one can rightfully surmise how much attention was paid to the athletes concerns.
The addition of Solinsky could be great if it frees up coaching staff to focus on BTC. The coaching staff; however, are being paid more by UofO and at least in Schumachers and Flanagans situation have the bankable luxury of double dipping.
Everything moves better on a two-way street versus one-way or the highway.
if this is true, I'm glad to hear that at least some athletes are not thrilled with the way the Shelby situation was handled because a lot of them are still simping for her.

Hahahahahah
It is not funny. It is a good idea. Jerry's ego is killing the group.
-access to the facilities at UofO are not working out the way they were told.
- coaching staff has been MIA due to commitments of running a university team.
- BTC support staff have left.
This is the story.
Everybody is making a big deal about the move in location. It’s not the location. It’s that their coach isn’t giving them the attention they need/once had. The facilities aren’t working out like what they had in Portland.

can someone give an example of what this means, exactly?
are they unable to use UO recovery facilities? access to weight room, etc? I can't imagine that Jerry can't just unlock the weight room or let them onto the track whenever they want.

Yes, the only thing still missing is a name change.
You're missing the point: yes BTC are "associated" with the university, but the point is that if you are in your mid-to-late twenties and live in a town where there is nothing to do then it's pretty depressing. If you go to the university as a student you can at least retreat into student life but what are Grant Fisher and Elise Cranny going to do? Start hanging around with college kids in their spare time? I can't see many BTC athletes sticking it out for more than a year, it's not worth pissing away some of the best years of your life in a tedious backwater. I also wouldn't be surprised to see performances suffer as the athletes' quality of life declines
This is why we'll never be the #1 distance running country in the world. Do you think Kipchoge needs "things to do"? All he needs is a place to sleep and some ugali and he's good to go.
Bekele Bread is spot on. Rocky IV continues to be a relevant movie for any athlete.
