This isn't as unique as you think. A lot of coaches say this, they just don't have the opportunity to be interviewed about it through the media so you wouldn't hear.

Yes, I am shocked, shocked that a couple of post-college adults, the younger one about eight years post-college, could be in love and get married. Really, who thinks that an almost 30 year old woman is capable of making emotional decisions for herself?

It's good to see that you're still here (I have one of your books in a living room bookcase, right next to Studs Terkel's "Working"), but many have reasonable concerns about being (I hate having to use this word, which is so twenty-first century) "doxxed."
A fine comment, but did you really need to insert that third sentence? (Curiously, my dream school when I was a high school runner also won the NCAA men's cross-country championship last Saturday, but it was in Division III.)
Sounds like he just wants attention. The things he says are stupid.
Right! I wish the U.S. had more coaches that say stupid things like him!
No there isn't.

I factually pointed out when they met and showed how even they disagree with your version of the story and how unlikely it was that everything was kosher. You reported the post and got it deleted? College coaches dating their athletes should always be called out. Especially in a thread dedicated to his conduct as a coach. But yeah delete all posts that even imply he's not the angel we think he is. 😇
Ha ha, I didn't report it. That would imply that I cared enough about your immature, emotionally stunted suspicions to report you. I'm just a guy who ran with Mike for about a year when he was post-college, and has some direct personal knowledge about their relationship, who is having some fun on the message board. You may return to your morality police duties now.

Lol. You are here defending a guy who is dating 20 year olds and I am the emotionally stunted one? Emotionally mature people like to date people their own age. I hope they stay together if only for the safety of NAU women's team. But alas he has a type and he is surrounded by people who won't call him out on this. Rooting for Rachel here, I hope he doesn't slip.
Wait Rachel Smith is 20 years old? I was under the impression she was 30 and not dating him but actually married to him lol. But ok, good on you for calling him out haha.

Didn’t they get 4th in indoors recently?
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
Does not wanting my kids to watch a bisexual threesome at the Olympics make me a bigot?
