Come on, man. Did you even read your own link? There's ZERO data from Kipchoge in that link, just someone speculating on what his results *might* be based on his race times.
Yes the writing is bad. Just ignore it and look at the actual data in the graph, based on the tests done by Professor Andy Jones. He's a real researcher and runner.

No, sorry, that's not real data collected by Andy Jones. Andy did test Eliud, but only published aggregate data combined with all the other Breaking2 candidates (here). He has never published any of Eliud's individual data.
The link you provided is just someone plugging in numbers based on Eliud's race times. You can see some hints, like:
- the headline is "The ***Likely*** Physiology Behind INEOS 1:59 Project"
- in the graphs you mention, the legend says "***Virtual*** Eliud 1, Test Date..." etc. etc.
- at the end of the article, it explains how you too can make up virtual data: "Do you want to create your own virtual Kipchoge? Or do you want to see what parameters would need to change in your athletes to reach their goal? Use our virtual performance projection feature."
I agree with you but this isn’t a hobby jogger averaging 7’s hoping to break the five minute mile. Kipchoge averaged 4:37 in Berlin or 2:52 per km. He can break 4, maybe not easily, but very doable maybe with some speed work.
He literally runs 12x800 in 2:02-2:10 with 1:30 rest. I doubt running 2:00 flat then closing in 1:56 is too hard for him. His training today incorporates speed, most marathon plans do, just with less rest.
Source for him just banging out rep after rep at 2:02? If so I withdraw my protests.
Not sure that this topic should be much of a dicsussion.
Kipchoge can still run well under 4 mins for a mile. He's still at the top of his game. To put things into perspective, back in 2012 Yuki Kawauchi ran 2h11min marathon then 6 days after this he busted out a 3min50sec 1500m (equivalent to 4min 8 or 9 sec mile?), and then the day after this a 13 min 58 sec 5000m.
He ran 2:11:52 To Win The Sydney Marathon And Break The CR By Almost 3 Minutes (which was just three weeks after winning the hot and humid Hokkaido Marathon in 2:18:38).6 Days later, he runs a 3:50 1,500 which is a 6+ second...
I am a huge fan of Kawauchi but Kipchoge is on another planet performance-wise. If a "random" 2h 11 min marathon runner is running a 4 min 8/9 secs mile a few days after his marathon then of course a 2h 01 min guy is going to be crushing a sub 4 without too much difficulty especially when that guy has top end world-class track pedigree (Gold medalist in the 5000m destroying Bekele and El G - two of the greatest distance track guys ever in the sport).
