Foreigners join the NCAA also. There are foreigners who are faster than them.
Which version of Aschbrenner are you referring to? The one who was brilliant before the move to CU, or the one who's done f*ck all since he's been there?
Ok, let’s bump this thread in December 2026
Has anyone determined if this is a verbal or a written commitment?
The Young brothers can rescind a verbal commitment.
Written commitments don't start until November I believe.
So, this commitment being made isn't binding. Things may change.
It should be NAU or Stanford.
Long shots would be Colorado, Virginia or North Carolina.
But if you want a villain origin story it would be UCLA. The Young twins sign, then Colin Sahlman de-commits from NAU, Nico transfers from NAU, Aschbrenner transfers from Colorado, Aaron Sahlman commits to UCLA, then UCLA will have it's pick of top recruits and transfers for years to come all funded by NIL money.
Where are they getting nil money?

The major universities have extremely deep pockets when it comes to NIL money.
I have a friend from high school who is a lawyer that specializes in NIL deals and he says it's crazy out there now.
Funny you should say that. My best friend is a lawyer and his son is a top 50 guy in the NCAA but is only on a small scholarship and has no NIL deal. He said that there is no NIL money for track in the B10 or ACC.
Agreed, it's not like they're going to Kentucky, and achieving a detrimental experience to both their athletic and academic development.

Would Aschbrenner ever make the top 7 on the team that have 3 Youngs and 2 Sahlmans on it? He’s not progressing as well as expected in college, and he and Nico are the oldest in this group.
Remember all the UCLA hype about getting these two? That fell flat didn’t it.
NAU seems unlikely
i assume that Aaron will go to NAU
if so, why would he not announce at same time

Because the channel is L&L, not L&L&A

No hate - L and L just stated they were going to a “Top College” so Kentucky isn’t one of the options is all.

That would be great ... if they could train in Flagstaff and take online classes. Can't train hard in Westwood.
