Toledo St. Francis has the talent for top 5 showing this year.
I don't know. I think the Riverside Kickoff race was especially fast, so it may be skewing the Milesplit rankings just a bit.
Either super fast or short, the fact that almost 50% of the top 50 rankings are from that race is kinda sketchy. Cernansky Dropping 40 seconds while being that fast as well...
Westerville North is certainly solid, but not top 5 in the state. They'll have to run well at regionals, or they risk not even getting out.
Kilbourne has a better 1-2-3, and they also are on the fence for state qualifying. I have Coffman, Lancaster, and Davidson all ahead of W. North, and that's just region 3.
It was rained out. Started to storm just as girls were about to go off
From Westerville N...
W North 70
Desales 80
Kilbourne 85
Olentangy 119
Scioto 120
others.... deep
Kilbourne's Smith put on a huge surge to drop Gabelman pretty definitively with 1000 to go, winning in 15:38. Gabelman 2nd in 16:00. Miller started way back but charged hard to battle Bracken for 3rd. Both finished around 16:09. Weston Day was back a ways, but looked like he may have been tempo-ing this one.
Kilbourne goes 1-4-5, but North's depth showed up. This group looks really strong. DeSales sneaks into 2nd by packing their entire varsity between Kilbourne's 3 & 4. Scioto and Olentangy were non-factors.
I think you could put Springboro, Mas. Jackson, Solon, Medina or Lancaster at #2 after this week and justify it, and Davidson and St. Xavier are probably competitive with that group too. Of course there's still one team that hasn't run.

Definitely Mas Jackson and Hil Davidson in front of Springboro. These results show that
Or you could look at the fact that Springboro beat Davidson by 80 in the first meet of the season against a much better field. Springboro will definitely finish ahead of them at the state meet.
Springboro will definitely finish ahead of them at the state meet.
That's doubtful...
I just looked at the results again and Springboro does have an impressive 19 second 1-5 split and Davison is has a 1:50 1-5 Split. Davidson's 4 & 5 guys need to tighten up a bit.

Davidson’s spread the second time was tighter the second time than the first time, and Springboro’s spread was tighter the first time than the second time.
First meet: Hill Davidson top 5: 15:29 16:22 (53 seconds back) 17:33 (124 seconds back) 17:37 (128 seconds back) 17:45 (136 seconds back)
I’m not sure if Hill Davidson’s 4 and 5 will close the gap behind their third. Only their top 3 broke 9:45 in the 3200 last spring. No one else broke 10 minutes. But if 2 people can close the gap that would be awesome
