Correct. Yakob will never break 3:26. I agree with all of your points. He will never break the real world record, he will have to settle for the mickey mouse record.
On a related note, it's curious how whenever a random african breaks an obscure record it always gets downplayed, understandably so because they are very soft records, but when Yakob does the same and goes after arguably the softest of obscure records it gets blown up as a huge deal. If we are to remain objective, this 3:30 indoors speaks nothing of how close he can get to 3:26 because the 3:31 barrier indoors is not in the same stratosphere as the 3:26 barrier outdoors.
3:25 as you say is not easy. It speaks volumes that even with superspikes, supertracks, and superpacing, the current generation is still off by over 3 seconds. Cheptegei was capable of exploiting these technological advancements to outdo Bekele by a good margin, but perhaps he's simply more talented than the current crop of milers. At this point I doubt this current crop of milers will ever produce a 3:26, let alone a 3:25.
You are literally without question the most downvoted person on Letsrun. It's not even close. There might be a reason for that, ya know?
